7th Dec 2025 (9 weeks ago)Despite any other comments, I had an amazing experience with MSL, I guess it depends on which house or property you’re going for. I stayed at Coulston Road, and it was amazing, I stayed there during my 2nd year and it remained as the best house I ever stayed at during uni. The MSL team was responsive, the property was in perfect condition, no mould, no damp, and if any issues arose they would be there within a couple of days to fix it. I imagine that this is not the case with every property, if you’re going for a very cheap alternative I imagine there will be a few more issues, but if you’re staying or planning on staying at 46 Coulston Road, or any properties in that price range, rest assured, they’re top quality properties. *EDIT* I forgot to mention, I kept my room in perfect condition, no damage, no mess, everything nice and neat and tidy. There was however some normal wear and tear in the room as can be expected through occupying a space for a year, for instance the paint in the shower started chipping away and a couple of other things. However, even with the wear and tear, I received my full deposit back. Not a single penny was taken away from my deposit. Those comments saying they took away their deposits for no reason, I would beg to differ, I image their threshold for “no reason” is very low, since I had no issues whatsoever with the deposits. Just keep your room in good condition and you won’t have any issues.

31st Dec 2025 (6 weeks ago)Hackney and Leigh were excellent. We felt reassured by the professional and knowledgeable service. Our property went to best and final offers within 7 days and we felt that our concerns that our property was sold to a local family who would want to live in it were understood. We received excellent advice on how to choose the most appropriate buyers. We were recommended an excellent local solicitor by Hackney and Leigh which was very helpful. Great professional and friendly service throughout from everyone, thank you Kiera and your lovely staff at the Kendal office.

I am very pleased with the whole process- from the initial valuation (no heavy pestering pressurising phone calls afterwards like another agency) right through to the house sale completion . Even after that , when I had queries- Louisa was exceedingly helpful throughout, and went above and beyond . I was kept informed and felt supported the whole time . Friendly and knowledgable and kept things moving . Everyone made what can be quite a daunting process , as smooth as was possible . Grateful thanks to all at Lancaster JDG .

From the very beginning, they were professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Every question I had was answered clearly, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. They kept me updated at every stage and genuinely cared about finding the right place for me. Highly recommended to anyone looking to rent with confidence!
11th Oct 2025 (17 weeks ago)Eve was absolutely fantastic We had our home up for sale previously with another agent for 8 months no communication updates or feedback The same cannot be said for THW The process from start to finish was so professional and every week we had phone calls updates and any worries we had were addressed Needless to say our house sold within weeks with 2 offers and so much interest Even though we have now sold Eve is keeping us up to date and we can’t thank the team enough No stress and worry about the whole process Thank you

5th Feb 2026 (4 days ago)Cumbrian properties were very fast to list the property once we gave them the go ahead including picking up the keys from the previous agent, taking photos and producing the pack. It literally took 24 hours. It was hard to know what individual things contributed to the quick sale of the property but after having been on the market for 3-4 months with another agent without a single viewing we had 4 through the door in just over a week. In the end I believe it was most likely a combination of the agents response to enquiries, the improved marketing material and positioning by the agent and the photos including some we provided with computer generated furniture to bring the empty property to life. Ultimately they got us to Sale STC within a couple of weeks so very happy with that. Would use again.

She is incredibly lovely and helped me a lot with choosing and viewing properties that matched my preferences. Thanks to her professionalism, I was able to find my flat very quickly. Throughout the whole process, other members of the Bridgfords team were also very kind and communicated efficiently, which helped everything run smoothly and quickly. I would highly recommend them, especially if you are new to Durham like me. You can simply walk in, talk to Marija about what you’re looking for, and she will take care of the rest perfectly.

I would like to mention the two people who we had contact with, namely Carolann and Judith. They have been very professional and answer questions quickly with good knowledge. I would definitely recommend and use again.

12th Jan 2026 (28 days ago)Total time wasters, as if you don't want their no deposit option you have no chance of getting property. When I got their email after doing my application it was clear , I won't get this property as they clearly want you to take no deposit option to even be considered.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

She was professional in her approach and honest about the difficulty of putting a value on a property with little precedence. She was always available to discuss any concerns and guided us through to accepting an offer which will hopefully lead to a sale.
