Start to finish we had lots of advice and support and was very prompt at getting us in to another home. 2nd Nov 2024 (5 weeks ago)My family have been connected with a house in Tankerton since the late 1800s and have owned it, through 3 generations, since 1945. Rather reluctantly we had taken the decision to sell it and requested quotations from several local Estate Agents. Christopher Hodgson provided the highest quote so we visited them and were struck immediately by the sheer professionalism of the firm led from the front by Will Raolfe. He was knowledgeable, approachable and responded to any queries we had quickly and efficiently. He was instrumental in driving the whole process forward and was constantly in touch with both sets of solicitors. Whenever I was worried about any aspect of the sale he was able to provide sensible and helpful advice. Without this I am sure we would have not achieved the result that we did. I should add that every member of his staff with whom we had dealings acted in a friendly and helpful manner and I felt that we really were in the hands of a truly excellent company. I can recommend Christopher Hodgson without hesitation.

8th Nov 2024 (27 days ago)I'm not selling or buying with Bairstow Eves but a neighbouring property is up for sale with them. This property is vacant and recently I have become concerned because post and leaflets get left on the floor in front of the door. I raised this concern with the local postman but nothing was done about it. Then the for sale board fell down, so I phone Bairstow Eves and expressed my concerns that the post is advertising that the property is empty. Someone from Bairstow Eves came out the same day to clear away the post and the for sale board was back up the following day. Really impressed that they listened to me and dealt with my concerns straight away. Thank you Bairstow Eves!

(Not listed ) ,Sanderson’s have got many viewings on the property and now we have sold , Jo was extremely helpful and saw us achieve the highest value we could for the property , he was amazing and felt that he pushed the extra mile to get the sale through ,at all times Jo and the team have been amazing keeping us posted and guiding us ,we would definitely use them again as we know your in safe hands and they pull out all the stops to secure the sale , well done the the whole team , thank you
10th Nov 2024 (25 days ago)I highly recommend Jason King at Godwin Curtis for anyone looking to buy or sell a property in Canterbury. I had quite specific requirements for my first house and what impressed me the most was Jason’s proactivity and persistence; he never gave up on my search and phoned me regularly with new listings of properties that he thought would match my criteria (sometimes before they even went on the market). Thanks to Jason, I found a property that met all my criteria. During the house buying process, Jason responded promptly to my enquiries and when I needed clarification about several questions about the property, he went above and beyond to get answers for me directly from the sellers and addressed any concerns I had. Thank you Jason for all your support!
2nd Sep 2024 (13 weeks ago)They would not sign us up until we had paid them £303.00 for their solicitors and £199.00 for photos and I think it was a further £60.00 for money laundering. Four viewings in 23 weeks. No weekly phone update as promised, we had to chase them. When we gave them 2 weeks notice, they didn't even acknowledge the email until the last day of the 2 week period. The branch manager even had the cheek to tell us he did not rate the area we lived in. Diabolical service!
12th Nov 2024 (23 days ago)Excellent and highly professional service. We were seeking a rental property and viewings were arranged quickly, with a friendly and knowledgeable member of staff (Phoebe) in attendance. We liked the house, so applied for it ... 12 days later we moved in !

Communication has been so prompt, she has given advice where we have needed it and has been so knowledgeable. Our selling/buying process which began 7 months ago, has felt arduous with other agents. But now we have finally felt listened to and heard and have the home of our dreams. We really can’t thank you enough.
18th Mar 2024 (8 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We would never have known where to start without them and we couldn’t have asked for a better team!
5th Jul 2024 (22 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
11th Nov 2024 (24 days ago)Lack of Professionalism at Your Move Deal After being a tenant in a property managed by Your Move in Deal for over seven years, I was deeply disappointed by their lack of professionalism and common decency. Unfortunately, this behaviour began even before our tenancy started. During negotiations, they attempted to incite a bidding war among potential tenants—a tactic I found unnecessarily greedy and refused to consider it. Throughout our tenancy, we had minimal interaction with Your Move staff. Thankfully, we had a good relationship with the property owner and communicated directly to avoid dealing with the agency whenever possible. However, at the end of our tenancy, the lack of communication and professionalism became glaringly obvious. The person managing our agreement made no effort to contact us regarding the move-out process—no guidance on a final walk-through, cleaning expectations, or even instructions for returning the keys. I had to chase their rentals team myself to ensure everything was handled properly. Despite this poor experience, we notified Your Move that we were looking for alternative accommodation. On one occasion, we viewed a property they were representing. The staff handling the viewing were inexperienced and poorly prepared. They handed us a basic info sheet—information we’d already seen online—and could not answer any of our questions about the property. When asked for clarification, their response was simply, “I don’t know.” Instead of offering to find out or follow up with the landlord, they left it at that. If you're considering renting through Your Move in Deal, think twice. Their lack of professionalism and care is evident from start to finish.
