16th Apr 2025 (5 weeks ago)We found Jackson-Stops of Sevenoaks, particularly efficient and active in securing a sale of a property in Sevenoaks. Isabelle Greaves the associate in charge of the sale was so helpful and enthusiastic and guiding us through the whole process including co-ordinating with our solicitors. We would thoroughly recommend Jackson-Stops of Sevenoaks.

8th Nov 2024 (6 mo. ago)They don’t do as promised. I had my property on full management by them where they said they’d provide me an update of the property on a certain months interval. They never sent me any written nor photo/video updates as stated. I sent them numerous emails asking why the reports was not sent to me but there was no any counter reply to any of my emails. I then CCd the emails to the branch manager too! Still no reply to any of my emails. This is only one example of their deed. There are others too!!! I’d never ever recommend any of my fiends and families to give them a management of their property to Connells. Since I’ve spread these news some of my friends have already decided to leave them. One of my friend also stated the same problem with the Connells. To whoever is reading this, my advice to you is don’t pay to manage your property with them. You’ll regret it badly.

The communication is excellent and they really do care about their clients. Special thanks and recognition to Oli who had been extremely patience, helpful and supportive during a very long a stressful move. I would definitely recommend the team who go above & beyond for you. 2nd Sep 2024 (8 mo. ago)They would not sign us up until we had paid them £303.00 for their solicitors and £199.00 for photos and I think it was a further £60.00 for money laundering. Four viewings in 23 weeks. No weekly phone update as promised, we had to chase them. When we gave them 2 weeks notice, they didn't even acknowledge the email until the last day of the 2 week period. The branch manager even had the cheek to tell us he did not rate the area we lived in. Diabolical service!

21st Apr 2025 (4 weeks ago)We would not reccommend Burnap and Abel in Dover. Booking viewings was straightforward and quick but when we decided to make an offer for one of their properties we were pressurised into speaking to their mortgage advisor. The mortgage advisor was not knowledgable and he insisted that in order to make an offer for a house we needed to have an appointment with him, disclose our financial information and receive his advice. He also insisted that we need a full mortgage offer from the bank and that an agreement in principle was not sufficient, which is, of course, incorrect. The bank confirmed that this was not possible and that they can only provide an agreement in principle in the initial stages of putting in an offer. Only once an offer has been agreed can buyers begin a formal mortgage application which takes around 2 weeks to get processed. Customers are free to make their own decisions regarding whether they want to use the estate agents' mortgage advisors and aggressive marketing techniques such as these give estate agents a bad name. In the end, we bought a house through another local estate agent who were kind, honest and professional.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

11th Nov 2024 (6 mo. ago)Lack of Professionalism at Your Move Deal After being a tenant in a property managed by Your Move in Deal for over seven years, I was deeply disappointed by their lack of professionalism and common decency. Unfortunately, this behaviour began even before our tenancy started. During negotiations, they attempted to incite a bidding war among potential tenants—a tactic I found unnecessarily greedy and refused to consider it. Throughout our tenancy, we had minimal interaction with Your Move staff. Thankfully, we had a good relationship with the property owner and communicated directly to avoid dealing with the agency whenever possible. However, at the end of our tenancy, the lack of communication and professionalism became glaringly obvious. The person managing our agreement made no effort to contact us regarding the move-out process—no guidance on a final walk-through, cleaning expectations, or even instructions for returning the keys. I had to chase their rentals team myself to ensure everything was handled properly. Despite this poor experience, we notified Your Move that we were looking for alternative accommodation. On one occasion, we viewed a property they were representing. The staff handling the viewing were inexperienced and poorly prepared. They handed us a basic info sheet—information we’d already seen online—and could not answer any of our questions about the property. When asked for clarification, their response was simply, “I don’t know.” Instead of offering to find out or follow up with the landlord, they left it at that. If you're considering renting through Your Move in Deal, think twice. Their lack of professionalism and care is evident from start to finish.
