5th Dec 2022 (3 years ago)Disappointing experience. We unfortunately entered the market just as the economy was crashing into recession. However we chose Churchill because of their long standing local presence and thought they would provide an excellent service. We found them old fashioned and disjointed e.g. no 360 degrees online presentation of our house, we had to point out out that the published photos were originally missing a room, they was a complete lack of diversity in their agents (of which we had to deal with 3 different men although the area manager had said we would only be dealing with him) the different agents didn’t appear to have pre-read the information we had provided about our house before the viewings and there was a general lack of ongoing communication. In the end we only had two viewings before we ended the contract after 4 weeks.

They are honest, very prompt to fixing things, they are very polite especially (Katie). I was with them for over 7 years and never had any regrets. God bless you all. Shalom

He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and professional and took the time to really understand our requirements. He was tireless in getting us to the finish line for our purchase and we could not be happier. Highly recommend!
31st May 2026 (21 days ago)????? | ?????? Lettings Review ?????? Wow! Where do I even start?! I'll be honest, I came to McRaes with zero expectations. I've come across enough agents over the years to have become fairly resigned to the whole experience ?????? You know the drill: slow responses, vague answers, nobody really seeming to care whether you actually get a home or not. ? McRaes were genuinely something else entirely ? Brian, Miri and Sally looked after the lettings process from start to finish and the thing that struck me most was how human they all were. Not just polite but actually kind ?????? Considerate, empathetic and whenever I had a question or a wobble they responded with warmth and patience rather than the usual clipboard energy you get at other agencies. You don't find people like that in estate agency anymore, they are a rare, rare find ?????? ? What made McRaes stand out: ?????? Genuine, warm and approachable from day one ?????? Outstanding communication throughout and never left in the dark ?????? Seamless, stress-free process start to finish ?????? You actually feel like a person, not just a tenant reference number ?????? The kind of people you're genuinely sad to stop dealing with ?? One thing to flag regarding the inventory company: ?????? This is no reflection on McRaes whatsoever but the third-party inventory company they used fell well short. Items were logged as "professionally cleaned" and "good condition" when they were neither including appliances that simply weren't in working order. For a lettings team that holds itself to such a high standard, it's a noticeable weak link. I'd genuinely encourage McRaes to find an inventory provider whose thoroughness matches their own. ?????? ?????? Here's the bottom line. McRaes are the kind of estate agents you wish you'd found years sooner. Brian, Miri and Sally are wonderful and the whole experience was refreshingly smooth. ???????????? Sort the inventory company and it's a five-star operation without question! ?????

25th Jan 2026 (21 weeks ago)The most unprofessional Estate agents ever. My son purchased a property through these people ( well so he thought) he had his offer accepted which was the highest, he gave his solicitor details,had his mortgage ready, all was fine ( so we thought) We met the executors of the previous owner and was told it had been sold to an equity company at a much lower price. She explained that my son's offer was never shared with her and that she would have accepted it. It is disgusting the way that Julia has treated my son, and strung him along. Best advice is for no one to deal with this unprofessional set up, although I have noticed not many people in Balham sell through them. It only seems to be garages or Du cane court. I will be contacting the estate agents ombudsman about this situation 1st thing. Do not waste time with this outfit. There are some fantastic friendly professional agents in Balham and Tooting Bec. I am shocked that there are still some questionable agents around.

10th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)I’ve been with Tower for about seven years as a tenant and have also sold my family home through them. They have always been really friendly ,helpful, and easy to deal with. Anytime I’ve needed anything they’ve been there and the service has always been great. Would definitely recommend.- 28th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)I support the feedback submitted previously about the inability to get in touch with the agents. I've called the reception 5 days in a row about arranging a viewing of a flat and I'm still expecting that some magic will happen and someone will finally call me back. I've highlighted that I had seen the development before and pretty much ready to make an offer for the flat but it's ridiculous that I just can't get in touch with anyone from the team to arrange this!

29th May 2025 (1 year ago)I honestly don’t even know where to begin with how awful my experience with IDM Properties was. From start to finish, it was a complete disaster. First off, the communication was appalling. Emails from Sascha and Cristina were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of offering assistance or addressing concerns, their responses were dismissive and condescending. They made me feel like I was a nuisance for even reaching out. What’s worse, they take absolutely no accountability when they make mistakes and never apologise. I have had numerous situations where they’ve done something wrong—whether it was a missed repair, inaccurate report, or even lying about basic details—but not once did they own up to it. They simply brush it off and act as if it’s not their problem. The renewal process was another nightmare. I reached out 6 weeks before the end of our first tenancy to ask about renewing the contract and the new terms. I was told "You will hear about it 8 weeks before the end of your tenancy." So, I waited and waited, but we didn’t hear anything for two months after our tenancy had officially ended. And then, when they finally did get in touch, they rushed us into making a decision almost immediately, with no regard for the time we’d been left hanging. Then there’s the issue of repairs. If you want anything fixed, be prepared for an agonising wait. In the middle of winter, it took them 5 weeks to fix the heater. 5 weeks without proper heating during one of the coldest months. The balcony door took 3 weeks and several visits before it was finally ‘repaired’ – but not fully fixed because that required another part that we never heard back about. The washing machine? 5 weeks to replace it. And the dishwasher? 4 weeks. It was always the same. They require multiple pictures and video from different angles before they believe there is a problem and then nothing ever got done on time. You are made to feel you are in the wrong for chasing. One of the most infuriating parts of this experience was how they lied about things. For example, during a mid-tenancy inspection, they claimed we had bikes and suitcases in the hallway. This was absolutely untrue, so we disputed it. Cristina’s response? "It’s in the report, so it has to stay." We insisted that neither of us owns a bike, and only then did she grudgingly remove the bike from the report, but she still insisted the suitcases had to stay on the list, even though we didn’t have any! It was clear they were just making things up to try and pin blame on us. Another example of their dishonesty: I asked Cristina if I could have the code for the building door in case I ever forgot my access fob and to let my dogwalker in. She told me that the code had been disabled and was no longer in use (even though I had seen people using the code!!!). But then, one day, I had a large delivery left at my door, and to my surprise, the code was written on the box! It was clear they had lied to me about something as simple as that. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the property itself was in terrible condition. There were issues with plumbing, the drains flow upwards (I was actually told this by a plumber!) so we had to use plughole unblocker monthly to stop the shower and sinks overflowing. The toilets flush into each other, the extractor fan just goes into the ceiling (this is another repair story that took over a year to fix). At the end of our tenancy, they tried to deduct £550 from our deposit. We challenged this through the Deposit Protection Scheme and eventually got all but £102 of our deposit back. Do yourself a favour and avoid IDM Lettings at all costs. Their incompetence, dishonesty, lack of professionalism, incredibly rude communication from Sascha and Cristina, and shocking delays with repairs and contract renewals have made this the worst renting experience I’ve ever had. And don’t expect any accountability or apologies from them—they simply don’t care. Avoid them if you value your time, money, and sanity. One star is over generous.

They recently sold my property, and we could not be happier with the service we received, they went above and beyond, keeping us fully informed every step of the way. After previous extremely stressful experiences with other agents , we couldn’t be more grateful for the honest and professional approach of kearns and in particular the above mentioned agents, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough !!!
