Initially, I thought buying a home in the UK would be impossible because my previous mortgage advisor informed me that, after three years in the UK, I could only borrow up to £133,475. However, when I met Jafri, he reviewed my situation and assured me that this did not seem right. He encouraged me to pursue the matter further, and as a result, I was eventually able to secure a mortgage of up to £300,000. I was extremely happy to work with Jafri from the very beginning of the process through to completion. He was always approachable, responsive, and willing to provide guidance whenever needed. We were looked after very well by Kiran Munder who replied quickly to all queries and arranged for the maintenance of the property to be done efficiently before the new tenant moved in.

David, Emma and the team were very professional, easy to get along well with, and always available to answer any questions we had throughout the whole process. The efficiency with which they liaised with other agents involved as well as conveyancers just made things run so smoothly. I would highly recommend Thorps to friends, family and anybody else who asks!

25th Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)It’s really important to find an estate agent that can market, generate interest and ultimately get that sale you are wanting and Alexander’s can do this. What most people forget about is the process from accepting that offer to completion day, which can be a long time, in a long chain, with long delays from various solicitors and issues that arise. Molly Mcbride at Alexander’s is extremely tenacious, educated and has your back all the way to the finish line. She single handedly progressed our whole chain, constantly chasing up and down, jumping over every hurdle and there was a few! Had we chosen another estate agent I would still be waiting to exchange, it’s opened my eyes into how important it is to make sure you instruct the right estate agent with the right people. Thank you so much Molly!
