23rd Jan 2026 (17 weeks ago)AVOID THEM. They will rob you blind of your deposit and withold legal documents they "swear they'll get tomorrow" to avoid giving you your dues. Like many others said they will make dizzying claims about needing professional cleaners. Especially when you hired your own out of pocket to avoid these things. They are rude, dismissive and will trick you into doing everything over the calls to avoid leaving evidence of responsibility before gaslighting you wildly. Mohammed told us to sit outside in the peak of winter overnight when the lock which the locksmith WE had to hire said was "a decade out of date". Took days of arguing to get them to pay us back. It was -5 and mohammed knew full well I was asthmatic. Disgusting business with no morals. Watch your backs, avoid this lot.

No communication, no updates, they over value a property to get you on board and then you have to keep reducing the price because they cannot sell it. 2 years to sell a property during a time when all houses were flying off the shelves! Anything associated with Duckworths, I would stay well away unless you want to lose money. They don't care and it shows in their service.

The process is smooth and only made better by the lovely people working in the office. Thank you Jonathan, Jo, Sue and everyone else!
28th Aug 2025 (8 mo. ago)Overall a mixed bag of opinions, chris himself who does the show rounds is lovely but buying your first home is a bit of a minefield to say the least, We had two failed property's with them. 1st property where the seller pulled out because we wouldn't pay 3.6k towards HIS defective lease this went on for a few months and resulted on us missing the deadline of our tenancy end in our current property. The estate agents was not considerate of the situation & didn't offer anything else within our criteria and just went about their day knowing we'd still be open to further properties as we were staying in air bnb's and hotels at the time. They just re listed the property as "newly" on the market when in fact it had been listed for the best part of 6-8 months prior. The second property we went to attend a viewing in which they hadn't pencilled in and we had to call whilst being stood outside for 15 minutes. to which we was told we never confirmed even though we had written confirmation of both ourselves and themselves agreeing a time etc, We was then rushed during this viewing because they'd double booked. We went onto register interest in another property and just never received a follow up. We shown interest in this property more than once left vm's and emails. If you're thinking about selling i would not use them as they don't care about you at all & have probably scared many other potential buyers off as well. After a whole year we managed to find a house with another estate agents stress free, This house did not come with free mould, soiled floorboards, leaking roofs, Landlord special cover ups & the area was not mis sold as a nice area when in fact it gave shameless a good run for its money.

5th Dec 2025 (24 weeks ago)AWFUL SERVICE. NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Why anyone would list with this company is beyond me. They clearly dont act on behalf of their clients. I've called 20 times this week to arrange a viewing and never once answered.

4th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)Absolutely disgusting by the way I have been treated at the end of my tenancy. The agency tried to take the money off my deposit for things like lighting bulb that was fully working or normal wear and tear. The people should stop trying to get the money off the tenants in such a disgusting way. Please be very careful as they lie about everything!!

The staff have been wonderful to deal with, always kept myself updated throughout the whole process putting customer relations and quality first. I would like to especially thank Zac and Georgia, very professional and efficient. Will use Pearson again.

Loads of local knowledge, professional advice and felt friendly and honest. From first viewing I felt like I was in good hands, right up until completion when they accommodated a last minute viewing before exchange and went over and above to sort keys. Don’t usually get this level of service as a purchaser. Thanks again!
9th May 2026 (15 days ago)We had the best experience with Wainwright's from start to finish. I would highly recommend this estate agents. Although when I looked at cost, it was slightly more, the service we received far outweighed the money we paid. We changed to Wainwright's after using another estate agents and I don't regret it. Within a few weeks they had sold our house and the service was impeccable. Every member of staff was dedicated to selling our house. Don't hesitate to use Wainwright's estate agents. Thank you everyone at Wainwright's ??????
15th Dec 2025 (23 weeks ago)The services provided is so bad, one of their staff called talking so disrespectfully as though he is doing me a favour by selling house to me, the day we went to collect key after the sale fall through they attended to us so shabbily, I only went through with the sale because we already gone far...but this team is terrible

I had communication issues and delays with my own solicitors, other solicitors and other estate agents but never with Colleen at Eric Clarke. She was proactive, helpful and went above and beyond to keep me in the loop and give other members of the chain a nudge when needed. Would absolutely recommend to others!

The owner refuses complaints they talk to you like your nothing after you've signed the paper work and they do not honour promised repairs or any repairs. Avoid see all the negative comments. The owner cant even dress smart. Its another company he's going to run It to the ground then he will open his 4th to repeat!

Whilst we was dealing with the pain of bereavement and deciding to sell our parents house, dealing with Darren was friendly, very knowledgable and professional advising us through all the stages of selling the property and made the process as easy as possible. He was available and a constant throughout and went above and beyond to keep us updated right through to completion when we was not getting much updates from the Solicitor.

The tenants paid their rent on time every single month for three months, yet this company has stolen nearly three months of my rent and transferred nothing to me. They have lied repeatedly — first bank holidays, then accounting problems, then sick manager, then claiming their company is being taken over. They are now trying to change their name to escape complaints. Classic scammer tactics. I am now in overdraft and cannot pay my mortgage because these thieves are holding my money hostage. I will be taking legal action immediately and exposing them everywhere. Total fraudsters. Do not trust them with a single penny.
