24th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)This agent requires sixteen weeks.There wasn't communication after the contract was signed. The property was on the market, but it was the twelfth week before anyone enquired. Could not locate agents window on the high street. They do not use professional photographers, which was definitely a mistake. The agent works alternate Saturdays, but never informed me beforehand, and suggested I didn't tell him I would be away. Unsure of the question as he did agree to conducting the viewings. One viewer was due to come on a Saturday, but never showed. It's possible she tried to contact,but got no reply. It's the same response I got when I rang twice on that Saturday. He got the keys along with instructions to the alarm, but still managed to set it off. He does not come over too well, and can't say it's the right career choice.

21st Jan 2022 (2 years ago)The most rubish estate agent i have ever seen. They only work for comission from landotds, they don’t care about tenants. All tenants just be careful. At first they look ok but this is only fake protend.

22nd Aug 2024 (7 weeks ago)Very disappointed with the service. Viewed a property with these guys after giving an offer I was told I will be contacted via post. Two weeks went past but didn’t receive anything, so I decided to call the office. After speaking to agent I was told that the house is under offer. I don’t understand why I wasn’t informed of this as initially instructed. I believe something isn’t right with these guys and vendors don’t get to see all the offers on the table from buyers. Avoid

9th Apr 2024 (5 mo. ago)We had a bad experience with this company for Liasoning between the house owner and tenants. There seems to be a biased opinion and didn't support tenants for genuine tenancy issues. Completely inexperienced staff to deal with.

2nd Sep 2024 (5 weeks ago)Letting a property through Martin & Co has unfortunately been an unpleasant experience so far. Their communication and customer service skills can improve quite a lot and the other party seems to agree with me. Although friendly for brief interactions, anything that demands more normally results in passiveness and a lack of care for their managed service paying customers. Don't take their word for anything. False promises and a lack of accountability seems normal. Proceed with caution in every step and don't expect the world and you should be okay.

31st Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

5th Jul 2024 (13 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
