Selling your house is one of the biggest decisions that you have to make in life and having a great estate agent is essential. We found Comyn and James absolutely superb. From viewings, to advice on making offers and when it came to those all important choices they were there every step of the way. I cannot recommend them enough!
The company was excellent to deal with. Communications were always dealt with professionally and promptly. Calum Wyatt was a very effective sales person and gently pressed us and the buyer to a fast exchange. We had a 3-month bad experience with Hamptons Intl and fired them before going to GL & Co. That was an excellent decision. They got us 2 good offers within a week and and exchange within a month. We will use them next time we move house.
The Guy Leonard staff are very professional and friendly. They will happily help with any queries in an efficent and stress free manner.
We are so impressed with speed and efficiency shown by Hamptons. Jade and David were incredibly committed in helping us find our dream flat. We were able to move into our new property within a week, during which we were regularly kept up to date with how the process was going. A huge thank you to Jade and David who were friendly, professional and dedicated in helping us move in quickly and with ease.
My experience with leasing through Hamptons has been a very frustrating one to say the least. I’ve rent properties through Henry Adams, Courtney Green and Guy & Leonard and I really couldn’t have a more polar experience than I have had with Hamptons. Not sure how much this is down to Hamptons or the landlords but I would expect more support from an estate agency.
We were only informed of a boundary dispute after we signed our lease. We had many issues with the house since we moved in due to the poor condition when we moved in and many issues were left unresolved or simply “band-aided”. We also had a lengthy wait time for repairs that were carried out (no heating for 2 months in Oct/Nov)
At the end of the tenancy I had to wait 4 weeks to receive an account or total for the “damages” despite leaving the property in better condition than we received it. Th le landlord then wanted to claim nearly two thirds of the deposit back.
After several frustrating calls and having received the feedback that the landlord is our client not the tenant I feel obliged to caution potential future tenants against using Hamptons. Lovely people in the branch placate me but a simple lack of results has left me waiting and waiting for my deposit to be returned with still no sight of a resolution. Be careful with this agency unless you are prepared to wait a long time to get your deposit back or are willing to fight for it and can put up with paying your rent while any issues largely remain unresolved.
I have recently sold my property, and I would like to mention that my dealings with Alex Bethell, was amazing. Nothing was too much for him, always kept me informed, his professionalism and attitude is a credit to the organisation. If your thinking of selling your house, and want world class service then I suggest you pop into Courtney Green and ask for Alex.
Be careful with these estate agents! I would like to share the bad experience I have just had with Courtney green.
After the check out inventory, the landlord asked up £900 to cover various costs. Most of the costs were around general wear and tear like marks on the walls, a few scuffs in the carpet. The check in report was very vague but when it came to the check out they were thorough. Unfortunately, we didn't take note of every single detail and they took advantage of this. It eventually went to a dispute and we managed to keep a good part of our deposit.
Courtney green were never open about who they represent. Told us they represented both landlord and tenant. However in a dispute they were completely representing the landlord, even did the landlords case. They also advised us the landlord was being reasonable. If we had heard them we would have lost a huge chunk of our bond. Used our case to lodge the dispute and countered our arguments in the dispute application.
If you use Croxley Green make sure you are properly advised about your rights, independently from them and take note of every mark on floors, walls, garden condition. Our house was professionally cleaned every week, no shoes policy in the house, but they still managed to take money from our bond. They seemed very experience around disputes and know what to say to make landlord more favoured.
We don't want anything to do with them, ever again.
My thanks to James, Ollie,Karen and rest of Lextons team who secured the recent sale of my property. They were diligent and thoroughly organised throughout. Very grateful to everyone
From the minute I switched my Estate Agent to Lextons I knew I had made the right decision. Lextons generated significantly more viewings than any other agent I had previously. They were extremely pro-active, efficient and kept me very well informed in every aspect of my sale. The sale of my property was complex but Lextons were supportive throughout, offering thier advice, expertise and guidance.
Karen Franks was particularly brilliant in progressing communication between solicitors and ensuring the momentum kept going. Most importantly to me the Lextons team were genuine, backed up with professionalism, expertise and efficiency.
