7th Mar 2026 (30 days ago)Viewed a semi-detached property on Croham Valley Road marketed by this estate agent and progressed with the purchase as a serious buyer, incurring costs for legal work and a professional survey. The survey report later indicated that the loft conversion did not appear to comply with building regulations. When this was raised, I requested a price reduction to reflect the potential risks and costs associated with this issue. The survey also highlighted several other Level 3 items (the surveyor’s highest category of concern), including concerns relating to possible structural adequacy, damp, leaks, and structural issues noted in relation to the garage. I was also disappointed with the way the survey findings were discussed. During this conversation the agent commented that “you have employed your surveyor to find as many faults as possible, which he has done.” I found this remark dismissive. A survey is a normal and necessary part of the buying process and is intended to highlight potential issues so buyers can make informed decisions. While the agent indicated that the structural concerns had been communicated to the seller, my impression was that they were presented as relatively minor matters, which in my view did not fully reflect the seriousness of the Level 3 issues highlighted in the survey report. I was offered a reduction of only £5k. I was open to negotiation; however, I felt this did not adequately reflect the potential implications raised in the survey report, and the property was subsequently re-listed. In my opinion the agent was not particularly proactive in helping both sides reach a compromise once the survey findings were identified, and the communication around these points could have been handled more constructively. This was disappointing after I had already incurred costs progressing with the purchase. Had the loft conversion issue been known earlier, I personally would not have made an offer in the first place. Buyers may wish to ensure they carry out thorough Level 3 surveys with reputable companies before proceeding with any purchase. In my experience, it was money well spent.
15th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)I wasn't overly impressed by the estate agent. While they were upfront about the market and the difficulty in selling, I don't believe they were actively engaged in the marketing of the property. While presence for viewings, I felt that the agent showing lack knowledge of the properly and area with the owners really providing the viewing. When recieving an offer, there was an underlying pressure to accept a bid which was well below our expectations and only through our push back we were able to get a more satisfactory offer. Something I don't think we could have got with the guidance of the estate agent
20th Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would like to leave a very positive review for Alex at Foxtons Battersea. Alex has been an incredible support throughout the entire sale process. Before working with Foxtons, I was with another agency and unfortunately they were not supportive or helpful at all. The difference with Alex was truly remarkable. He was always professional, kind, and calm — even during the most stressful moments of the sale. He always had a solution ready and made us feel reassured at every stage. What I appreciated the most was his availability. He was always reachable and responsive, even while he was on holiday. We were constantly in touch, and that level of dedication made a huge difference for us. I highly recommend Foxtons Battersea, and especially Alex, to anyone looking to sell their property with confidence and proper support.
18th Feb 2026 (7 weeks ago)turned out to be a difficult sale due to the buyers solicitor being incompetent and unhelpful, the guys at your move were very helpful keeping up the pressure on the buyers to get the sale done and to resolve the problems that the buyers solicitors created, they were all ways there to talk to me and and keep things moving, i know that Dan the manager in the branch put a lot more effort into the sale than would normally be expected, So big thanks to Dan and his team. The only thing i would have some reservations about was their recommendation to use Homefast/PPL as my solicitors, they are cheap and work on a no sale no fee basis which is good and they are probably ok if your sale go's smoothly but i felt a bit left in the dark as they did not really keep me informed when problems and delays came up and it was not all ways easy to get in touch with them, there is very little direct contact with the solicitor appointed to your sale and the vast majority of thing are done through an online portal and not being a very competent computer user i did at times find it difficult. We got there in the end and Yourmove stuck with me and gave support all the way through so i would be happy to recommend them.

As first-time buyers, the whole process felt quite overwhelming at times, but Adam has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. He’s been consistently professional, approachable, and incredibly supportive throughout. No question ever felt like too much trouble, and he always took the time to explain things clearly and reassure us when we needed it most. His communication has been excellent the entire way through, keeping us updated and making sure everything progressed as smoothly as possible. What really stood out was how genuinely invested he was in helping us. He went above and beyond to make sure everything stayed on track, especially as we got closer to completion. It’s made such a difference having someone so reliable and kind guiding us through such an important milestone. We’re so grateful for all his help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. We’ve also had a really positive experience with Kenton’s as a whole. The team have been professional, organised, and supportive throughout, which made such a difference during what can be a stressful process. Thank you again, Adam and team!

30th Mar 2026 (7 days ago)I had a really bad experience with Dockland Real Estate and honestly wouldn’t recommend them. When I moved out of my room, they tried to unfairly deduct money from my deposit. One of the main issues was council tax, there were two of us living in the property on separate contracts, and even the council confirmed we shouldn’t be individually charged in that setup. Despite this, the agency still tried to take it from my deposit. They also attempted to charge a cleaning fee even though I left the place clean. When I asked for proof or a receipt, they couldn’t provide anything. I ended up taking the case to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS), which took a few months, but in the end I got all of my money back. That says a lot. What made things worse is that afterwards, when I needed a reference for a new place, they either refused to provide one or gave a negative impression, which affected me when trying to rent again. Overall, I found them very unfair and unprofessional. Just be careful if you’re considering renting through them make sure everything is documented and don’t hesitate to challenge anything that doesn’t feel right.

Mo is so responsive and very efficient in getting things sorted out any problems/queries. Our flat was absolutely spotless the day we moved in which is such a breath of fresh air as other companies we have rented through before have never done this well. We’ve been so impressed by the service given to us and would definitely recommend them to anyone renting.
20th Mar 2026 (17 days ago)This is a horrible letting agency. They took all of our deposit, the entire two month deposit. £2500 gone. They WILL exploit you. They will take your money. I even paid close to £300 on the professional cleaning service that this good for nothing agency suggested. We paid all of our rents on time, all bills on time. Kept the property like we were living in our own home. If you are unfortunate enough to have to take a house with them i suggest you do not engage with agent called LUKE PEGG. if you are hearing from this man they will be taking your money. I hope this agency goes out of business. No one reads comments but if you are reading this AVOID SAMUEL ESTATE AND LUKE PEGG. Scam, exploitative, unprofessional.
18th Feb 2026 (7 weeks ago)Communication overall was poor, and the final sale price ended up materially below what had been pitched and discussed at the outset. More concerning was the conduct from Yaseen, on the finance side, where agreed written terms were later disputed and the matter was escalated unnecessarily, including multiple threats of court action, before the correct position was eventually accepted after some push back. The issue was ultimately resolved, but the process fell short of the level of professionalism I would expect. I would recommend others ensure everything is clearly documented and reviewed before proceeding, if at all.
16th Mar 2026 (21 days ago)Very unprofessional conduct from John Payne Estate Agents. As estate agents they should know the regulations, including that only one board per building is allowed and boards should be removed within 14 days after a sale under the Town and Country Planning Regulations. Multiple boards were left outside our building at 41 Wellington Street (SE18) for over a year. Two boards had previously fallen and could have seriously injured someone if a pedestrian had been walking there at the time. One has since been removed, but several boards remain fixed along the fence and two more are lying in the landscaping. This level of negligence is concerning and does not inspire trust in the professionalism of this agent. The issue will be reported to the Royal Borough of Greenwich council.
