28th Oct 2024 (11 weeks ago)Paul Markey unfortunately let the team down. I’m presuming he’s just started his career so his inexperience has resulted in some poorly judged, unprofessional behaviour. Real shame as we initially liked Paul and mentioned giving them more business in the future yet definitely one to avoid now sadly. Context - We decided to proceed with another property that was on sale with a different estate agent instead of Paul’s property. He wasn’t happy… “Thank you for wasting my time and also now having to have a very awkward conversation with my owner…. Lets hope for your sake you don’t get messed around like we have but if there is such a thing as property karma it may well happen. Think we can end this here” No commission on this one I’m afraid ????

I cannot thank Ian and Oliver enough for all their hardwork patience and kindness selling my house in St Albans. It took over a year due to the unique configuration of the house and I was very stressed and anxious throughout. The team at Carter Hayward went over and above anything I have ever experienced at any estate agents. I have bought and sold properties 8 times in the past and have never dealt with a more professional company of agents. Not only were they consummate professionals but also compassionate and caring, keeping me calm when things went wrong and offering solid, practical and sound advise. I cannot praise them highly enough and recommend them to anyone who wants a truly professional and knowledgeable Estate Agents.
22nd Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)We recently sold our property with Ashtons Harpenden, and they turned a very stressful process into a much easier one! From the initial valuation to the day we handed over the keys, the team were brilliant, particularly Greg, Jonny and Ryan. But that said, no matter which member of the team we were dealing with, the service was excellent. Viewing feedback and progress updates were given frequently, and it was always easy to get hold of someone if needed. Would highly recommend Ashtons for any future property services.

14th Nov 2024 (9 weeks ago)I'm a tenant in a property being sold by my landlord through Collinson Hall's sales team. Over the past year I have found communication to be extremely poor. Appointments to access the property have been cancelled last minute on several occasions. Viewings have been booked in but not confirmed with me (I've had to call to confirm and they seem surprised when I ask which of the offered times they have chosen), agents have arrived late to viewings or to unannounced viewings with lackluster apologies and excuses of being told someone should have rung me - they didn't. I've complained privately many times and received apologies but they now just seem meaningless as the same issues arise again and again. When my time is being wasted preparing for viewings that may or may not happen, and being left feeling disrespected as a tenant, I don't think I am being unfair by now choosing to make my displeasure public.

18th Mar 2024 (9 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Thank you to Daniel and the team ,and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who wants professional help to sell there property. A 5 star rating, for a 5 star service. Stephen Grant
