All emails replied to in the same day and anything that needed further investigation, he would call and inform me ASAP keeping me fully in the loop throughout the entire purchase.<br><br>Thank you both very much, you’re truly an asset to the team!
13th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)Very unprofessional and grossly unreliable. Second time they have called 6pm the day before a viewing is due to take place (diarised for over a week) to cancel. No apology or care, no explanation, and quite rude. Poor management and quite amateur-ish.
19th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)Our experience was so bad, the chasing, empty promises that Patrick the owner made, complete lack of honesty and treatment was beyound appalling. Always an excuse.. I can't even put into words how let down and completely shocked we have been at the treatment from this man.

I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service

From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and the sale of my flat was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine commitment. A special mention has to go to Nick, who truly went above and beyond at every stage of the process. He was proactive, responsive, and always willing to take the time to explain things clearly and keep me updated. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his dedication made what can often be a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring.

20th Oct 2025 (10 mo. ago)Used Ashtons as was a prospective buyer of a property they marketed. Not so many issues with the office but the sales progression team were always quite slow to respond and could never get through to the assigned person to my case. Additionally used ashtons to sell my property and I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience. The problems began immediately. The agency provided an initial valuation to secure our business in July, only to suggest a £25,000 price reduction after just one week, admitting there was no interest. Despite agreeing to the reduction, it did not correlate to an increase in activity which would lead to questions around marketing and resource as Ashtons list a lot of properties. By September, they had only managed to secure two viewings. We received absolutely no feedback from either of these viewings, despite requesting it, leaving us completely in the dark. Lastly thier fees are quite opaque and if youre new to selling read through everything very carefully. In the non flex fees there are baked in withdrawal fees that ensure ashtons get paid regardless if they sell or not. Which gives them little incentive to really push your property in my opinion. The alternative is you pay money up front to them to sell your property which is preposterous. Fundamentally all the agents use rightmove to market your property and that's where most people go to find houses. In summary: an inaccurate valuation, negligible effort, a complete lack of communication, and a devious fee structure designed to charge you even when they fail to perform.

2nd Nov 2025 (10 mo. ago)I don't feel they really put any effort into trying to sell our property. The quality of the pictures and listing was not up to scratch. We had to chase for information a lot. I regret choosing them.

"oh, we had one viewer at the weekend, think he's going to make an offer, don't think you'll be able to view it - we'll let you know". They really said this! I'm glad I'm not the Vendor.

3rd Sep 2026 (14 days ago)I would say my overall experience was good although response to emails were not timely aside that it’s a four out of five . Dev handled the process of renting and I must say he is a tough one , keeps to the books , no short cuts , tries to be considerate while not compromising the company’s rules and regulations. He knows his job and gets it done. And off course, Bobby a sweet human and very considerate and very helpful.

The team were friendly, approachable, reliable and easy to communicate with, and they were always accessible whenever we needed assistance or clarification.<br><br>A special thank you to James and Greg, our sales consultant, who was extremely helpful, professional and supportive throughout the process. Communication and follow-up made the transaction much easier and gave us confidence that things were progressing as they should.<br><br>We particularly appreciated the team's regular follow-ups and proactive communication. They were always willing to help and kept the process moving, which made what can otherwise be a stressful property transaction considerably more manageable.<br><br>The only minor area where I felt there could have been an improvement was at the point of completion. Although we were provided with the keys, it would have been even better if a member of the team had accompanied us to the property and walked us through the house. They recently managed the sale of my late mother’s property in what has been a difficult market, with great professionalism and commitment.
