We used Your Move Blaby to sell our house after an amazing quick sell experience for my Mother In Law.
The selling journey started off so well, your move sold our house with 2 weeks of hitting the market.
Kate looked after our profile so well and ensuring we were communicated at all steps.
Then our experience changed to not a great one.
Our sale took nearly 9 months to complete, Kate left but no one told us, it was communicated to us by the estate agent agent above us, we were not impressed by this.
Your move hardly touched base with communication to check anyone in the chain under the 2 of their branches were ok.
we ended setting up a WhatsApp group with our buyer, if we hadn't have done this we would have ended pulling our house off the market.
The chain got to the verge of collapsing as the first time buyer was going to pull out if the sale wasn't completed by a deadline date.
We found out neither Blaby or Leicester your move branch had reached out to the bottom of the chain to help keep the chain going, and found out the solicitor and Estate agent at the top was unaware of the threat of collapse.
Your move claimed they had tried to reach the top estate agent multiple times, I ended up finding her details and ringing her myself, had to leave a voice message and she called me back within the hour. She advised she had no missed calls from your move.
We had only ever brought a house, never brought and sold, so didn't know the process. No one guided us about contract packs or anything from your move.
When it came to complete, no one reached out to explain the completion day process of keys, and movement of money and confirmation of sale etc.
We found out a couple of days before the move that the first time buyer hadn't even paid their deposit to the solicitor, your move Leicester or Blaby hadn't checked any of this with the solicitor or the first time buyer, as our Solicitor did not want to complete and exchange on the same day due to the risks and stress involved, in the end this was forced upon us, as relevant solicitors were off.
Moving day.... After a phone call from our solicitor around 11am, we were advised she still hadn't heard anything from Wilsons solicitors, nor had she received our funds.
Turns out the first time buyer only paid their deposit to the solicitors at the bottom at 11am on moving day, despite being told by the Leicester branch they had done it Friday. This caused the whole chain to experience issues, and at one point our solicitor advised it didn't look like the move was going to happen due to the bank checks and time scales of releasing the funds up the chain.
We were in tears, hubby drove down to your move Blaby and gave both the girls a mouthful about lack of communication & diligence checks not being done, after that things seemed to start accelerating a bit. The completion of the chain was only down to our solicitor and her actions otherwise the move wouldn't have happened.
We ended up getting our keys at 4:50pm, so we were incurred late key fees from our removal company. Not a great experience.
