Absolutely garbage, they are more than happy to harass tenants and refuse to perform even the most basic duties of an agency. They even seem to not understand the tenancy agreements that they produce. The staff are often incompetent and obviously only care about the interests of their landlords and not for the tenant. Looking at the positive reviews I can see they are (mostly) from Landlords whilst all the negative ones are from tenants, this should give you a good understanding of this company's priorities. I would avoid this agency like the plague.... Read more

I used Hunters, South Wigston, to sell my property. Tony valued the property at a good price and it sold within a week. The whole team looked after my needs (and I was a needy client) with a friendly and professional disposition. Always responded to my calls quickly, explained processes and helped with issues arising. The whole team cover for each other and they all know exactly what is going on with your sale. I was made to feel as if I were their only client, even though they were crazy busy. Belvoir, Leicester: Tenancy Application & Viewings THIRD-PARTY DOCUMENT HANDLING ISSUE: I had called Belvoir today and asked why the Landlord wished to move forward with an alternative tenancy application, and the reason was that Belvoir had not received my partner's application fee and application documentation. On the Goodlord website; it is not clear that both potential tenants must create an account/login each, moreover the guidance notes (where this might be explained) are not accessible as the link to them had not been working. This link may need to be corrected. When I called today (Saturday 18th August); the representative that spoke to me said that the documents from my partner were not only missing (causing the Tenancy Application to not go ahead), but that "he hasn't submitted anything", "he hasn’t paid anything', 'we have had nothing from him". The way I was spoken to was abrupt, rude and I was unable to clarify why this was the case as the representative kept verbally cutting me off. She also stated that she had told me that there needed to be two separate accounts (per tenant), but when I finally managed to get a word in; I explained that I knew that would be the case for payments and document submission; but not two separate logins on Goodlord. If Belvoir is to use an external website in which to collate application documents; it must make sure that the website is maintained; and to explain that the tenancy application will be handled by an external website as the potential tenant may not be happy to disclose their personal information to a third-party website. It is also crucial for Belvoir to make it clear that two accounts/logins must be created as Goodlord's website is misleading. ABRUPT/LATE/RUDE REPRESENTATIVE FOR VIEWINGS: I also want to express my concern over the representative we had come into contact with for our viewing of the Knighton Road property on Monday 6th August. He was late and didn’t explain why, he was not able to answer my basic questions about the property (such as where the boiler was located, and even questioned WHY I needed to know), he had absolutely no time for me and was very agitated and wanted to rush me out the property as quickly as possible. He had also booked two viewings for two properties on Springfield Road for Thursday, 9th August at 11:45pm without confirming this with me. I had not received confirmation of a booking until Michaela had called me approximately one hour beforehand on the day to confirm my availability, and I informed her that I had not been contacted to book and confirm the viewings. Therefore, I had to rush over to view the properties without adequate and prior notice. GENERAL IMPRESSION: I feel as if Belvoir LEICESTER have handled our process very poorly, and that they have fallen very short of my expectations. The impression I have is greediness, rudeness, abruptness and a general lack of communication. Again, I would like to state that I DO know the correct Belvoir Branch is LEICESTER, and will not accept Belvoir’s google rating to my comments as “we do not have you on our records”, “please call this number so we can verify which branch you were with”.... As a first time buyer, i'd expect a mortgage adviser to help you as much as possible and make your journey less complicated. BUT unfortunately it didn't go as expected. Disappointed, it's a shame really because Demi was nice, but she made it complicated and didn't really know how to handle the business, i had to give up and go somewhere else. Waste of time, effort, fuel, and also printed out a load of bank statements and payslips for nothing!!!!!... Read more

Dear Reader, We bought a house through James Sellicks last year. I must be very honest in my review as i am reviewing a business that has many members of staff, supports many individuals as well as families and no doubt has a long established base within Leicester and surrounding areas. Therefore, be assured that this review is not from a competitor or someone out to try and harm James' business in any away. Due to the purchase price being so high, i had the misfortune of having to deal with James Sellicks himself. I found James to be murky in his dealings and very rude and abrupt at times. The property in question was sought after and i wanted it so i had no choice but to put up or shut up basically. I advise anyone reading this to be very cautious about dealing with James Sellicks. They know how to lure you in and make sure you pay top dollar by talking the talk to their client's advantage. I found James to be impersonable, pushy and rude. All in all i am grateful for the opportunity to be able to review JS honestly, fairly and openly and of course in the public domain. We have recently sold our house with Becky at Scrivins & Co, quite honestly, we wouldn’t had sold it without her continued support and professional guidance. We sold our house within 2 weeks of Scrivins & Co marketing it for us, the process from initial enquiry to on market was smooth and swift, the photos and description truly reflected the property and gave us every confidence we could secure the market value in a short period of time. At all time in the initial process we felt informed of actions taken and where we were in the process. Becky and the team took control of booking viewings and ensuring that we only had serious potential buyers make appointments that were kept and carried out in COVID-19 safe conditions. Feedback from viewings was provided within 24 hours which allowed us to understand the buyers needs. Once we secured the sale Becky ensured that we understood the process and what to expect in terms of the legal process from her experience. This is when the support really kicked in! The sale was secured within 2 weeks, however the trial and tribulations of the selling and buying during a pandemic were way over and above what we expected. We had ongoing issues with our buyers buyers mortgage and other concerns, even though this wasn’t in anyway part of the service required from Scrivins & Co Becky was always on hand to answer questions, chase information and provide updates to try and put our minds at ease. I can honestly say that in the week leading up to the exchange and completion I had pretty much lost all hope of the sale going through but Becky kept the faith and remained confident that it would come good. This was a solicitors matter not an estate agents issue but Becky was brilliant throughout going above and beyond to ensure that we have now completed our move to our new home made possible by Becky and Scrivins & Co. If (and we wont be for many many years) we were to move again I wouldn’t hesitate to use Scrivins & Co again and would highly recommend them to others looking to sell or buy property.
