21st Aug 2026 (24 days ago)Terrible agent<br><br>I went to view a house last week. I had no contact from the estate agent to ask me for feedback, so I resorted to submitting an offer by email. I got a receipt saying they had accepted my offer, and that was it nothing more.<br><br>I didn't hear anything for over a week, so I sent a courtesy email to them asking for an update, to which I received an out-of-office notice from the 'senior negotiator' with no sign that my message had been passed on. So I sent my follow-up email to the office instead.<br><br>6 hours later a got a phone call saying they had taken another offer from someone else.<br><br>At no point was I informed of any offers, or the seller's situation and how they will be dealing with offers, which in this process is valuable information.<br><br>In reality, I could improve my offer, had a solicitor ready to act, and a mortgage in place and a deposit, which make me a low-risk buyer.<br><br>I find this lack of communication poor when dealing with people's emotions and money. I understand I lost out to a cash buyer, which is understandable as that is a good position to be in. My frustrations aren't with the seller but the estate agent as this does not account for their poor/lack of communication through the process

Their communication was excellent they kept me fully in the loop with regular updates and took the time to clearly explain every step of the process so I always knew exactly where things stood. They were genuinely proactive, anticipating issues and keeping everything moving smoothly without me having to chase.<br>What impressed me just as much is how well they look after my rental portfolio. As a landlord, I really value the care they show both me and my tenants. They handle everything professionally and thoughtfully, which gives me complete peace of mind.<br>If you’re selling a property in Halifax or need a reliable team to manage your rentals, Redwoods are the ones to go to. Outstanding service all round.

The valuation was well considered resulting in abrochure designed to show the property in a relevant and honest manner. Viewings well managed and negotiation for the sale quick and efficient. The entire process took just over 2 months.

7th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)A fantastic service from Harley Banks the mortgage advisor, he demonstrated his understanding and knowledge of a wide wage of mortgages available, finding the best available rates and offers at the time of purchase. Not only was he dealing with a new residential property for me and my partner, but also looking into buy to let mortgages for my current property, along with remortgaging other properties. Taking on the difficulties we encounted, he still went above and beyond to give the best advice to move forward with all mortgage applications. I will certainly be using him again.

He has advised, answered our questions and guided us through the purchasing process, taking a lot of the stress and strain of doing a long distance move.<br>We would highly recommend Tipple Underwood with special thanks to Jay who is a credit to himself and the company. They were always extremely good at keeping us informed about any enquiries and they always came back to us with feedback after viewings. They did the viewings on our behalf, and they were always fantastic and there were never any issues with availability. We would highly recommend them as the level of service was first class and the price was extremely competitive.

11th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)Extremely poor experience. Belvoir were consistently slow and unresponsive, and the handling of my deposit was particularly disappointing. They waited until the very last day of the deadline to submit their proposed deductions, unnecessarily prolonging the process and leaving me waiting for my own money.<br><br>For a relatively small amount, the amount of chasing and hassle was completely unreasonable. I found the whole process dishonest and unprofessional, and I would not recommend Belvoir to any tenant.

I made an online enquiry on Monday, received a call back on Tuesday, arranged a viewing for Thursday, and by Friday we had paid the holding deposit. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and well organised. We loved the property and were very impressed with how the viewing was conducted. Daniel, who assisted us throughout, did an excellent job. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing all the information we needed about the property and clearly explaining the next steps.
