I had a pleasant experience with Connells from my first encounter to the day I collected the keys. I was desperate for a family accommodation which seemed to be a big deal at the time having spoken to many Estate agents.
Guess what! Connells delivered brilliantly within 2 weeks, not just the type of property we wanted but with proximity to the places that are important to us.
Sophie was my contact staff, and I must say she is good at what she does. Thank you Sophie, and your amazing colleagues.

Very bizarre way of doing lettings where they cherry pick properties for tenants rather than replying to all enquiries we made with them and when we called they said someone would contact us back and only did for two properties then when we went to view the agent was disinterested. Luckily there are still great agents out there who do exactly as they say they will and we have found our next property with another agent and the process has been smooth and professional unlike these agents unfortunately.

I am sad for the people that had a different experience with the company and I can only tell our time with them which was wonderful.
Sophie was very kind and swift who helped us find properties to rent. She connected us with a lovely landlord and a great flat too.

Sold a home through Connells and Sam Morgan was the agent we worked with. Sam was great to work with very clear on the process and keeping me up to date of the progress and very easy to get a hold of with queries and proactive and closing the sale and getting any issues resolved as quickly as possible. All interactions with all staff at the Mutley office and corresponding support team was great too.

Quick to get you into a property but shocking communication and incompetent workers meaning I was left without a property because they couldn’t be arsed to check documents, emails and follow through calls etc. very rude and took no accountability for being useless and multiple times where they realised that they mislead information and provided inaccurate information but didn’t apologise, would not recommend if renting.

Poor service admin side, to say the least. Certain people were brilliant dont get me wrong but the company has let me down and cost me a lot of momey which they will not compensate me with. I had an offer accepted on a house for 3 weeks. Connells did not take it off the market or make any effort to protect my offer. I had already payed a total of £1014 for morgage advice (which was free if i didnt go with the property, which was gazumped) and survays. I later learned that they could have contacted the owner asking for access to keys and to take it off the market and stop offers which they dont know why it wasnt asked. Due to this i lost all my money on survays. They pride themselfs on helping individuals in the military but shafted me. I wouldnt reconmend anybody in the military to use them.

One of the worst companies I've had the misfortune of working with.
Sam Morgan and his colleagues promised a high-quality service and plenty interest in my 3 properties that I marketed with Connells, but delivered very little but a complete waste of my time. I was baited in by promises of prices 20%+ higher than other Plymouth based agents, which I now presume were inflated just to get me to commit to Connells.
Several weeks after signing the contracts the properties were not even marketed on Rightmove or their own website. I called and emailed many times but my contact attempts were persistently ignored or I was promised callbacks that never came. I have now escalated my complaints to the area manager and have terminated my contracts.
I'm now trying to get the for sale signs removed but not to my surprise 9 days and 3 emails later to three staff members and I'm still being ignored.
Avoid like the plague.

Very disappointing and unprofessional service. It started well when I arranged a viewing on my flat. But since then, the person who did the viewing has ignored all my calls. I was told he was ‘on another call’ or ‘out the office’ and would call me back. But nothing. I can only assume there was a problem with being let into the flat, but it would’ve been sensible and polite to tell me.

I met Fred Massey a week ago. He kindly lined up 3 viewings for me. He was punctual and knew the markets well. I also got some good advice regarding leases from him.

Our experience selling our apartment in Mannamead through Connells - Mannamead - Ciaran Curley
As remote sellers based in Provence France , we selected Connells ' old school style' , by walking around local businesses on a visit to
Plymouth , and simply asking for recommendations and information on the many Agents located there .
Connells Mannamead especially Ciaran Curley and his team , came with the most positive reviews. The property was listed exclusively with Ciaran Curley for three months .
During the selling process Ciaran dealt confidently with 'covid 19 lockdowns , a hard to reach freeholder and our living in France .
Ciaran and Connells exceeded all of our expectations with communication , recommendations and more generally baby-sitting us through the entire selling process from day one until
settlement . Their service was simply outstanding .
The bonus was that he achieved twenty thousand pounds more for our apartment than another agent in Mannamead had advised it would sell for .
We are shortly relocating to Devon and would be delighted if Connells would be involved in our future purchase .
Well done and thank you to Ciaran and his team .
