We chose Connells because they are a nationwide estate agent. The agents who came to carry out the valuation and take the photographs were fantastic.
However, the agent responsible for conducting the viewings was late, which resulted in a queue of prospective buyers waiting outside the house. As there was no sales board displayed, and the situation was attracting attention from the neighbours, I let the buyers in myself. When the agent did arrive, she spent less than 15 minutes in the property, while we waited outside the house in my car.
Furthermore, the buyer of the house wanted to pay us £10,000 directly. This was communicated to us through the agent. I spoke to the buyer but felt very uncomfortable with the situation, so I blocked them and told them to proceed through the proper channels.
I found this highly unprofessional, and we should never have been placed in this position.

Natasha was extremely helpful, understanding, patient and thorough through the whole process. She was so lovely to speak to and made the whole process less intimidating for a first time buyer. No question was a stupid question and it felt like talking to a friend. Highly recommend

More. After experiencing property from hell from another agency, the difference with Connells was night and day! Speedy, great communication, reassuring and super helpful and patient! So lovely to talk to over the phone, never felt like I was too much of a hassle! Super super friendly. Cannot recommend enough!

Good from the start and kept me up to date with viewings. They couldn’t always get feedback from the viewings as the public can be fickle but were pretty quick when they could.

Never answer the phone, rang constantly for 3 days. No answer machine. When I finally got through, was told that the house I was interested in was rented out a week ago - Why is it still online then? Useless.

As a 23 year old who as never bought a property before I was full of anxiety and thought I was definitely going to have a nervous breakdown until I met Poppy I went into my appointment knowing nothing about mortgages and came out feeling like I knew everything (I didn't but felt like I did) the way Poppy went through it and explained it me as a complete novice was so much appreciated. Such a lovely helpful person and a very patient and reassuring person in my times of panic. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Poppy.
