Me and my partner were interested in buying one of their properties. We contacted them multiple times and finally managed to book a date for the visit. They told us they would contact us back to confirm the date. We never heard of them, even after chasing them everyday. I had to book time off work for this. Terribly disappointing and proving they show very little interest for their clients if they are not buying something that would give them a big commission.

At 11.45 I was informed there was to be a viewing at 4pm. At 5.20pm I was told that the asking price had been offered. It couldn’t have been any better.

As a first time buyer I can offer the following feedback about Leaders: They always replied to all my queries promptly and the process was very straight forward. My feedback for Leaders would be that I wasn't updated regarding the sellers position (in terms of their part of the chain situation) as frequently as I had hoped and towards the end they were frequently checking on me to keep me on my toes, which felt a bit too much given that the only thing left was in the hands of the solicitors. Overall a good experience though, they've been very kind throughout the entire process.

Well where to start.
Issue 1) I moved into a property in April 2022 through leaders and there were issues from day 1. The property was full of black mould in the child's bedroom and some had started to form in the kitchen. Leaders were Informed and I paid out of my own pocket to resolve this and stripped and painted the bedroom wall purple. Since moving out leaders have attempted to charge me for repainting the walls, conveniently forgetting they had agreed to this.
Issue 2) We then get to early August when it is noted the bathroom waste water pipe is leaking enough for the ceiling below to start dripping after a shower. This drip was on to the cooker below. Leaders were informed immediately about this issue through there portal and initially they sent out a plumber to look and I was told until it can be fixed to place a bucket below. The leak got worse and worse, there was waste water from the shower, the toilet and the sink pouring into the kitchen. Very quickly it became apparent that the one bathroom in the house was unusable and I actually moved out of the property for a period of months because of this. Leaders did not fix the issue and left it and left it. In January my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and unbeknownst to me walked into leaders Buckingham to attempt to help me with this issue. He was met with contempt and a no help attitude. Eventually after sending 3 plumbers round on different occasions they decided the bathroom would need to be redone. This work did not commence until over 6 months after the problem was reported. I was unable to occupy the property for 4 months in total and In return I received 1 months rent back after much protest. Leaders did not offer nor provide temporary accomodation during this period. They did not ask if I had somewhere to sta (lucky I did) and bearing in mind, I was paying all the other bills associated with a property as well as the rent and yet was unable to live there. Since leaving the property leaders have attempted to charge me for a figure that is incredibly similar to that one months unpaid rent! They also arranged the moving out meeting on the day of my father's funeral so I was unable to attend.
There are multiple other stories about how they have mishandled this property.
They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and I urge people to not rent with them.

One of the worst experiences going , avoid at all costs! Leaders have scammed myself and my partner from the get go, bullying us into no deposit schemes, trying to force us to pay for insurance (refusing us keys on moving day until we did so) and this is before we even got into our property. We had no hot water for duration of our tenancy , which we were told time and time again that was us using too much water, leaving the boiler empty (despite us still having no hot water after a week long holiday). We were told that having a front door which didn't lock was not an emergency (living in flats) and we should wait until the next week for someone to fix (which resulted in loss of earnings). We had items fitting incorrectly which broke which they charged us for... I could go on all day. All of the workers sniff out people in tough situations and simply rinse them for their money, for their own benefit. We had Mould in our flat (despite buying a £200 dehumidifier to try and stop this) which would not stop growing no matter what. Our windows had to be left open 24/7 because of this and with insufficient heaters (and no hot water!!) caused us to be extremely uncomfortable. The landlord owned many properties in the area, so obviously leaders sided with him on every case. I had threats shouted at me from the landlords building team when I tried to make any sort of communication to fix these issues.
All in all, avoid these scammers AT ALL COSTS. No matter how nice they seem/ a property looks, it isn't worth have to deal with these incapable workers/landlords.
As a younger adult I have spoken with many uni students/friends in the area who have had similar issues as they are sniffed out as more vunerable and less knowledable than others.
Karl and Shannon are especially two to avoid at all cost... both a waste of space!

I had hoped to move in 2021 but I had to cancel the sale, even though Paull at Leaders had secured a buyer, he handled the situation with professionalism and tact, I then placed my property back on the market in Sep 2022, Paul found a buyer at an acceptable price within days, unfortunately my next move was canvelled and I finally moved out at the end of Jan 2023. Throughout this process, Paul & his team maintained an upbeat interaction with my buyers ensuring the sale when it finally went though was done without any bad feeling. We moved out in may last year. They took some time to settle and send the finalised billing after a few errors on there side the last bill was settled in August 2022. Now out of nowhere they contacted me to explain that i still owe some money. How can a company keep changing its mind in terms of what a customer owes. Thats like tesco advertising one price, the after you have paid. Actually you need to pay us a bit more. Be careful of this company.

Renting in the town I live has been a nightmare because every property suitable for a small family gets snapped up instantly - in most instances within hours of listing leaving no time for viewing to ensure a property is safe for my young child. Fortunately, after calling within the hour of the property being listed, Leaders allowed me to take the time to view the property before allowing it to be rented out, and we decided to take it.
The process from then on was smooth and simple, with regular contact from Leaders and Lucie, the agent we were working with. And if we had questions they were normally answered within a day. Lucie was reassuring throughout and handled the pandemic in a way that I felt my family were safe. As a non UK resident, Karl and his team have proven to be extremely knowledgeable of the letting process and rental potential within Buckingham. It is the first time we dealt with Leaders and I can't praise Lauren enough for being very professional, friendly and responsive. The moment we contacted Leaders for a few viewings she has quickly arranged the time around our working hours and was very nice, showed us around a few properties in one day. Having read the reviews for Leaders and knowing they have a wide coverage of my area, I chose them to market my home for rent. We saw a 2 bed property we liked on Rightmove through Leaders and spoke with Claudia about viewing it. She was really approachable and considerate, giving us time to view the property without pressure, and we had secured the house by the end of the day. Claudia responds quickly to our correspondence and has been really helpful throughout. I would recommend Leaders and Claudia to anyone seeking a property to let in Milton Keynes.

Excellent service from Claudia and the team at Leaders Buckingham. Needed a place urgently, searched all over but no one could assure me of a faster service; until I met Claudia who showed me the perfect property and assured me of a super fast application. Indeed they delivered just like I was promised. Moreover, every form was filled online and was such a good way to avoid lots of paperworks; it was easy to fill and very understandable. I have had a great experience dealing with Leaders, and their representative Collette Stevens.
Since the first viewing, they have given us great customer service. They are professionals, but are very approachable and have been happy to help us with all of our questions.
I have been particularly impressed by their use of technology to make the contract signing process as easy as possible - all online (no signing and scanning, to my relief).

We were lucky enough to engage Leaders in our venture into letting a property. From the very first telephone to their Buckingham office I / we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. We met Claudia at the property we intended to let and she guided us through the whole process. Claudia has obviously huge experience in the industry, she anticipated our anxieties and was able to alleviate our fears! Within a very short period of time Claudia had marketed our property and secured a tenant... Really was as good as her word! We are in the process of completing contracts etc now which has been made easier by doing the forms and requirements on line! On the few occasions I have had to call the office for guidance all the staff have been more than helpful. I have spoken with Claudia (obviously!), Collette, Ruth and Carl ... Each one deserve recognition for their friendly, polite, professional and knowledgeable manner. I would also just like to mention the fact that Claudia has kept in contact along the way... I haven't had to chase! Amazing service and I would recommend Leaders unconditionally...

I have been renting out property since 2000. Leaders formerly Faulkners have come on the journey with me and I can honestly say they are the best agents I have ever found. They are not the cheapest but offer me a great service and I wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommended.

It's been a long time since I was on the selling/buying market for property. In these times of advanced technology you'd think all Estate Agents would be super efficient and competitive regarding cost. I'm very pleased to say Leaders are as well as being very friendly, helpful and understanding. A smooth and faultless service at a very reasonable cost. Very satisfied with every aspect of their work. I wish all Estate Agents were the same but I've discovered that's far from reality. I would highly recommend Leaders to anyone looking to sell or buy. Avoid at all costs. This is a rip-off agency, they are designed to take advantage of people and are crooks!!
I will keep it simple
1) This is landlord biased agency; they do not care for the tenant and make their money off the tenant for landlord at all costs. Thus you are disposable and will be treated unfairly and like complete crap.
2) This agency based on taking advantage of University of Buckingham students, they will demand 6 months rent upfront, security, and other fees because they know you are international and will be ripped off tremendously.
3) Random property inspections every 2-3 months just to “check up” forcing you to clean the place because they write how dirty it is in the report which gets sent to your landlord, etc making you look like a crap tenant on top of being ripped off. They take pictures of your rooms clothes and private areas in your apartment and send them off to landlord and other employees.
4) No price deceases on renewal even if neighboring properties (listed by same agent/owner) are being sold for fraction of the price. If you decide to end tenancy and move into the same property next door to save money, they charge you fees to do that which makes it not worth it.
5) These con artists know exams are every 6 months, so they only renew your property for 6 months because most likely you will not move out during exam term and end up being stuck with the same agency until you finish degree. They also will increase you rent strategically around exam time or when they know you are most likely to stay. They ask you 3 months in advance if your going to stay and list your property on sale right away and having people visit your place for months on end before you even left. Never tell them when you are leaving only at the minimum legally required time which is 1 month.
6) Security deposit is basically flushed down the drain. They pull out numbers out of their behind and like other reviews said, charge you £50 for a pencil mark on the desk and £180 for ‘carpet damage’ etc which may be there before you came. They will keep £200 from your deposit for cleaning, even if you pay for cleaning they will say it was not cleaned properly and still charge you £200!
7) The staff never responds to issues or maintenance issues, if you have no hot water, they will just say too bad as long as you get cold water enjoy your showers as legally they must provide water only.
8) They lie to you that a property isn’t available if they know you are willing and need to rent, thus, placing you into other crap properties that are hard to let, thus taking advantage of students by charging them high prices but putting them into properties that are hard to let due to bad conditions, etc. If you ask if property A is available, they will say no and say but B is, when in reality, both are available but because they know A is easier to let and you are a student, they will say A is not available and put you in B which is harder to let and in bad shape, since a lot of students have no choice and low inventory in general.
9) The electricity and water bills are hidden from the user, and once you sign the dotted line, you are stuck because some old properties have very high electricity and water bills and you are lied to told its only £10 etc when in reality they will come out to be £50/m or more.
10) I won’t bias you and name a different agency to go to. Instead, do your research, there are better friendlier and tenant based agencies around town that are 100x better than this agency. This place was called “faulkner” before, and was bad enough, but Leaders took over and turned this place even worse than before. Save your money, time and privacy and instead go to a different agency who actually respects tenants and students.

Leaders have continued to provide a consistently high standard of service and while the old guard have remained, new faces have arrived and happily blended in providing those same standards we had come to expect. A rare commodity in these days of high technology where people with faces are virtually unknown. I don't know how it's possible that estate agents like Faulkner are allowed to get away with such selfish, money-grabbing tactics. It's daylight robbery at its worst. We had to fight tooth and nail to get a fair amount of our deposit back, and after we contested they added more charges, and this happened twice! It felt like they were trying to bully us into backing down. Then there are extortionate admin fees and patronising inspections that make you feel like a child. Please don't make the same mistake I did - take your hard-earned money somewhere else!!!

I’ve never seen swindlers so shoddily disguised as estate agents in all the years I’ve been renting.The only thing missing from these guys is a pencil moustache and a cat to stroke. Get ready for the fight of your life if you want your deposit back. They will contest everything from scratches that require Hubble to actually spot to marks on your oven hob because you dared use it! Spot on a curtain? £50. Microscopic scratch on a radiator? £50. Dirt on the window? £50. Speck of dust on the floor? Boom! £50. I tried hunting for the pixels that showed the marks in the photos they sent as evidence but most of the time it turned out to be dirt on my actual computer screen that I was seeing! Please read the online reviews about these guys before you consider renting from them. I wish I had. We’re not the only ones with a similar experience.

Found the perfect house to rent with Leaders, I couldn't see it as was on holiday so Collette kindly showed my parents around on my behalf and held the property for me until I got back on my parents word. She was so helpful and gave me plenty of time with a second viewing to measure up.
Leaders are very professional and Colette is an asset to them. I am extremely pleased with the house we rent and the service from Leaders.
