1st Nov 2024 (11 weeks ago)Victoria Bennett branch manager of shipways Harborne high street absolutely disgraceful unprofessional and rude regarding sale and rental matters. If you decide to change your mind about a sale she will be rude and send a rude email. Disgusting of a person to speak to with all the years experience you would never know that from her third class approach and communication skills. Real disgrace to the branch.

1st Nov 2024 (11 weeks ago)Huge thank you to Harry at Dixons who helped us massively today when our front door broke and the children and I were locked in. The issue was solved in a matter of hours thanks to his involvement. He didn't just report and run, he kept in constant contact with both us and the locksmith and was understanding and most importantly kind. We rarely have to call Dixons but it's great to know that level of support is there should you need them. He changed our day ????

Their marketing and photographs were excellent, they achieved the price we wanted and kept us up to date throughout the entire process. Very pleased indeed and thoroughly recommend Jake and his Team.

2nd May 2024 (8 mo. ago)Throughout my lifetime, I've never encountered individuals as unprofessional and deceitful as those associated with this company, particularly an agent named Luke. Initially, they assured me that my wage was sufficient for the desired apartment, but after I provided the deposit, they began avoiding my calls, imposing unexpected requirements, and threatening to withhold my deposit despite providing inaccurate information. This ordeal left me feeling deeply distressed and anxious, to the point of tears. Luke's actions were not only misleading and dishonest but also malicious. The entire experience has engendered a profound sense of disappointment and resentment towards both him and the company.

The agents were honestly great and were extremely accommodating, friendly, punctual, communicative and informative. I received regular updates about viewings and they were prompt to answer any of my inquiries. My sale happened very smoothly and the whole process was very quick. I would highly recommend them.

14th Oct 2024 (14 weeks ago)Rude. Was expecting to hear when I could pick up the keys and they forgot about me. When I messaged I had the following rude response. "You have asked for a date to collect keys, which is my understanding that you have taken a room with us None of our previous conversation states which room you have taken Your contact number does not show on our system as a proposed tenant. Unfortunately we have three agents at Genie homes so you could have taken the room with the other two agents, im just trying to help find out which property so we can arrange your keys". Unfortunately we deal with hundreds of applicants per day, so i apologise that i needed to clarify". The snotty ending was terrible. It's there fault I'm not on the system yet somehow they expect me to provide them with all the information. Out of the 3 people that worked there could have said, oh yes I know him, my bad, I'll sort it. Terrible ans unorganised. Do not use! Used another company that was brilliant.

19th Sep 2024 (17 weeks ago)Direct Housing take advantage of students, providing abysmal customer service and scam money wherever they can. I rented a shared house for a year and the state it was in was disgusting. Not having many options, I chose to live there on the promise that it would be clean by the time I moved in. This was a lie, the worst was gone but it was the bare minimum. Throughout the year, many issues arose, the worst of which was sometimes when the hob was turned on, the power cut needing the fuse to be switched. This and the other issues were never fixed all year despite asking many times. One time we were stuck because the fuse was in a room of a tenant away for the weekend. There was no compensation. At the end of the year, they handed the property to another estate agent, needing it to be presentable. We gave it back in a significantly better state than we had received it yet we were handing with a huge cleaning fee taken out of our deposit. Avoid renting from this malicious organisation as much as you can.

20th May 2024 (7 mo. ago)BP Auctions have been anything BUT easy to work with. We’ve been chasing for updates on the sale of our property for weeks with no response. Every time we manage to speak to someone on the phone, we’re promised a call back that never happens. No one responds via email, and the whole process has been painfully slow from start to finish.
