The staff at John Hilton were unfailingly supportive, kind and understanding. They were completely reassuring every step of the way and enabled a quick and efficient sale.

26th Aug 2024 (19 days ago)Dom was very friendly and helpful when putting my flat on the market, and it’s always reassuring when you can have a genuine conversation about matching interests with your estate agent! Aden handled the organisation of the chain, who was also very genuine and set me up with their contact at a local removals company to see if they could fit me in with less than 3 weeks’ notice. Despite me losing my patience once at what eventually turned out to be a lack of communication elsewhere in the chain, Aden was still very friendly with me. I was hoping to apologise in person on completion day but he wasn’t working at the time – thank you Aden and sorry for blaming you on someone else’s mistake! The only negative from Jacobs Steel during the entire process was that I missed a call and received an email asking me to get in contact regarding exchange and completion dates. I was sent an email an hour later by my seller’s estate agent saying that they agreed to the dates proposed, even though I hadn’t had a chance to contact Jacobs Steel and explain that we weren’t ready as we were waiting on third parties. Following this, I entered a bit of a panic and had to contact multiple people to explain the situation and apologise for bursting everyone’s bubble. Other than that, I had a very pleasant experience with Jacobs Steel, who also sold me that flat 3.5 years ago!

5th Sep 2024 (9 days ago)I would like to thank Wilma Lang and Diego Patti for their incredible work, ensuring that my ceiling was fixed and my living room repainted after a leak from the water tanks. It has been very stressful, worrying about when it would get done. But they were so helpful, kept in touch all the time, and made sure it was done as soon as possible. Also taking into account the time I would need to clear the room, as a single parent of a child with lots of toys! Cannot thank you enough, they deserve immense praise for their patience and kindness. I am attaching a photo of my lovely blue room xx

They were extremely user friendly, communicative and very accommodating with requests for additional viewings. During the purchase we ran into an issue with a previous planning proposal on the property but H&N negotiated both parties through it in a reasonable and stress free way so everyone was happy with the end result and it allowed a potentially tricky sale to go through. Highly recommended!

We have just sold our flat through Kendrick's, and our agent Dan went above and beyond to make sure everything went well for us and our buyers. We bought this flat three years ago via Kendrick's, with Dan as our agent and he did a great job then, so when we decided to sale, selling through Kendrick's was a very easy decision.

4th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)Amy Newman at Michons is a fantastic, kind, communicative, and knowledgeable person to work with and a really gifted sales agent. She supported me every step in selling my flat what were really tough market conditions. Amy had great advice to share and I always felt like she was doing her utmost for the property. My flat was just a small flat in the Michons portfolio but I could not have got a more dedicated and responsive service: Hard to imagine a more savvy and organised estate agent. If you are reading this review, don’t think twice, Amy is the person you need!
5th Sep 2024 (9 days ago)Do not Trust Brand Vaughan.As letting agents they are renting out properties, especially to students, that are not fit to be rented. My son is renting a property from BV where the boiler has broken and suffered a flood. They take your rent and not follow up with repairs. Let's hope the government bring in a rent reform bill so BV can be fined. Poor customer service and exploiting the rental sector,especially students.

We had a personal recommendation to use Nicholas James when we were thinking about renting our property over 4 years ago, and it was a great decision. From day one they have been attentive, quick to communicate, and hands-on with all aspects of property management. They've been a great sounding board and offered advice and their expertise when needed. Having them manage everything gives us complete peace of mind. Cannot recommend them enough - and we do recommend them whenever anyone asks about management companies in the Brighton or Hove.

From the off we were reassured by the viewing, at a time when so many estate agents we met presented such a saccharin and artificial exterior, to meet Sarah was a delight. I actually thanked her for being "normal". But it has been Josh who has really shone throughout our journey of buying. He has provided continuous reassurance, support, advice and most importantly he has been thoroughly communicative. He was patient when our solicitor was frustratingly absent and helped us with any questions we had for the sellers, ferrying our requests back and forth. We have had a wonderful experience in the safe hands of Josh; we know exactly who to contact should we decide to sell at any point.

Heb at the firm is outstanding nothing was to much trouble phone calls replied to friendly not at all as estate agents usually are . I would be very happy to use them again it was the Hove branch.
