4th Jun 2025 (8 days ago)It's 7:30pm on a BH weekend Saturday, I've not long got in from a 12 hour shift to find I have no hot water. Quick check of the boiler, error code checked, couple of things tried but it's beyond my capabilities. Looked at my property paperwork and all I have is an email address. So it's Saturday evening on a BH weekend, I need my boiler fixing, all I have is an agent's email address and my landlord lives in France. What could possibly go wrong? So, with my expectations pretty low I fired off an email, thinking "that's it until Tuesday then". To my astonishment, 15 minutes later I got a reply. Couple of email back and forth and I had an engineer coming at 9am Sunday morning. The engineer took 5 minutes to pronounce the boiler dead and left, saying he'd send a quote. 15 minutes later I had an email - "sent the quote to your landlord, awaiting a reply". Another couple of emails and under 30 minutes later "our engineer will be with you at 9am Tuesday morning to fit a new boiler. So having reported the issue at 8pm Saturday night on a BH weekend I had a replacement boiler fitted and working by midday on the Tuesday. Wish all of my similar past experiences had been this good. Thank you to all involved.

Particular mention for Liam, who was my constant link between all parties. Liam was a constant source of knowledge and unbelievably helpful, friendly and approachable. I would recommend Your Move Ilkeston to anyone.

26th May 2025 (17 days ago)If you’re a student considering renting through Nicholas Humphreys Manchester, think again. This agency is nothing short of abusive, and they exploit students who are often renting for the first time. They consistently try to overcharge, inventing fees and costs that don’t exist, and then conveniently ignore any attempt to question or resolve them. Customer service is non-existent - unless you count mocking or automated responses as service. Genuine help? Forget it. Emails are spammed out, but if you actually need assistance, expect silence or worse: disdain. Queries about broken appliances, safety concerns, or urgent maintenance are brushed off or completely ignored. They also deduct money from deposits without explanation or consent, and will leave the property in a disgusting, neglected state before you move in, then blame you for the mess later. Be extremely cautious of the suspiciously high reviews online. Tenants are often pressured to leave 5-star reviews before moving in, during property viewings. Do yourself a favor: stay far away. There are better, more ethical agencies in Manchester who won’t treat you like an inconvenience for needing a habitable place to live.

I can honestly say that they were amazing, all staff friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent communication and feedback all the way through. You all made the process easy all though it was a sad time for us. Thank you
3rd Jun 2025 (9 days ago)We had put in an offer on a house in November2024 the offer had been accepted then 4 days later after we returned home early from a wedding to sort out the mortgage etc the home owner who turned out to be the director/owner of wigwam homes withdrew the acceptance because he had received a cash offer. Did not care about the money we had already paid out for mortgage brokers or surveys which we had to then spend hours trying to get back to add insult to injury he did not even have the minerals to call us himself he got one of his minions to do it. Feel sorry for the people who work under this person doing his dirty work as I'm sure they do the best job they can whilst working for this money grabbing tyrant. If you choose this company remember the money is all that matters not morals principles or customer service. would recommend anyone who is thinking about using this company to buy or sell a home to run a mile.

10th May 2025 (5 weeks ago)I have been looking for a property to purchase for over 6 months and this is the only estate agency I have ever left a review for. They are very disorganised and don’t appear to communicate with each other. I phoned on 6th May to view a house today (10th May). They decided to phone me 1 hour before to ask questions about affordability and that the vendor may not allow us to view the property. What were you guys doing for 4 days??? People have got lives and things to do on the weekend and you have the audacity to phone 1 hour before a viewing to let me know I might not be allowed to view the house. Completely unacceptable. When I realised what a joke of an agency this was and that the vendor was going to be nothing but trouble, I cancelled the viewing. I wouldn’t recommend this agency.
