30th Dec 2025 (25 weeks ago)My experience with Gadsby Nichols during my recent sale was extremely positive. Communication between me and the buyer was handled by Liz and Trish. They helped move the process along and kept me informed of any progress. When I was let down by a removal firm at the last minute, they stepped in quickly and were able to recommend a reliable alternative. The team were supportive without being overbearing, which helped make the whole thing far less stressful, particularly as I was in the middle of a chain. Any questions or issues were dealt with promptly, and the team were knowledgeable and professional. I would be happy to recommend them to others.
3rd Mar 2026 (16 weeks ago)We were not impressed. The lack of communication being the biggest issue. The last email we received was confirmation of our cancellation and was told I would be called after the weekend on the Monday. I'm still waiting. It's been 3 weeks. It was almost like once they had got you to sign the ridiculously long contract they just whacked it on Rightmove then forgot about it. After informing them of our cancellation we received an email telling us all about the potential buyers they had introduced to our property. The list was huge. Where when and how did they introduce all of these potential buyers. We had 3 viewings in 6 months.

They were very patient with me, and always easy to contact. They accommodated me wherever possible and never made me feel like an inconvenience even though I can guarantee that I was! Thank you so much to both Daisy and Chloe for their help during a very stressful time of moving house.

Cannot fault abode for their professionalism, communication and getting the viewers in to view the house. Always kept us informed on any little matter, viewings and feedback . My contact Charlotte is absolutely fantastic often going out of her ways to help manage issues with tenants and getting property issues settled promptly at the competitive prices. Charlotte has a friendly approach which really helps.

9th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)Had arranged viewing today, one week in advance. Drove 1 and a half hour all the way from to Lincoln to Derby, only to be told that landlord forgot about the viewing and is away with the keys so property is locked. Ridiculous service. Highly unprofessional. The guy wanted to show me the lifts and communal area which is a joke!

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
24th Apr 2026 (8 weeks ago)It is not often that efficient use of tech is combined with a friendly and personable service but One Sales and Lettings achieved this excellently! I received an extremely professional, efficient and effective service. The efficiency came from excellent use of processes and intuitive apps but this was not at the cost of being able to speak to or get answers directly from the team. I highly recommend them.

So many agencies over promise and under deliver. Elizabeth Gaughan is very different. The reason she is different is that she is professional, does what she says and makes sensible recommendations. She is pleasant, friendly and helpful. Elizabeth and Richard are easy to reach when you need them and knowledgeable about the local market. One of them would answer a query within minutes of it being asked. I would use this business again and recommend Elizabeth Gaughan wholeheartedly.
