8th Apr 2026 (26 days ago)Disappointing experience regarding the return of my tenancy deposit. I was informed in writing that the refund had been approved and passed to the accounting team, yet no payment was made and no replies were received despite several follow?ups. The lack of responsiveness after tenancy termination and the difficulty in tracking the deposit created unnecessary stress. Tenants should be cautious and be prepared to chase persistently for deposit refunds.

Everyone we dealt with was helpful, but a special shout-out goes to Chelsea, who was fantastic from start to finish. She was incredibly proactive, always chasing solicitors, keeping us updated, and doing everything she could to help us get to completion smoothly. I’m a first-time buyer and Olivia has been supportive, informative and kind throughout the whole process. She is always willing to help, go the extra mile and is quick and responsive. It can be quite a stressful experience, but Olivia has ensured that it has been enjoyable and has been clear, calm and helpful the whole way. Highly recommend.

Nothing had been too much, and they have made it all as straightforward as possible. I’d like to put in an individual review for Rhonda. Having only been in the job for less than 4 months when I first met her, she proved herself to be a thoroughly class act in her role. I would recommend her for a pay rise or/and a promotion. Thanks guys
17th Apr 2026 (17 days ago)New Oak Estates have been an absolutely fantastic estate agents to deal with, and should I ever move house again I will definitely be using them. It wasn’t the easiest sale (not their fault) but nothing was ever too much trouble. I dealt mostly with Laura and she was amazing throughout the entire process. She kept me updated, chased when needed and was always very friendly and helpful. The whole team were always very polite and helpful too. I will be recommending them to everybody going forward. Thank you for helping to get this sale through for me.
17th Dec 2025 (20 weeks ago)Recently sold a property with these, I honestly can’t recommend them enough . From the initial valuation right up until the day of the sale the whole team were amazing. The team kept in contact effectively and aired their opinions on proceedings and offer advice to aid with the sale. All questions I had (no matter how stupid) were answered in a friendly professional manner. All viewings on the property were booked and handled by the team and feedback was honest and delivered in a timely manner. Not once was I pressured or hassled into using any of their services but was advised of the services they offered . All the team seemed to be in the loop of the progression so was able to responded to all queries no matter the day I contacted them. 100% these guys would be my first port of call if I was to sell a property again in future.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
18th Jul 2024 (1 year ago)Wanted details on the Southwell Prebend house after a while I received it requested further information and a guidance on price and a viewing no reply a very well known Southwell resident who I visit discussed it with me ,I wasn't saying I was going to buy it but it would have helped if I was at the very least been given further information . Any how I gave up!! As far as I'm aware unless an agreement has been made which hasn't it should be open for a viewing.

27th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

The marketing, viewings and negotiation process were handled professionally and diligently, with some delays and complications worked through well to a positive closure. Our contact Charly Twigg is a credit to the company and deserves high praise for the way she handled and resolved the difficulties we encountered. We will recommend Staves to anyone selling.
