It is difficult to select just one member of staff for praise as everybody involved exceeded our expectations.

10th Mar 2026 (22 days ago)I didn't have a good experience booking a viewing with Burchell Edwards (Belper). Once you're not interested in using their mortgage advisor, they come up with various excuses not to allow you to view the property. Going forward I will avoid looking at any houses they advertise.

They have been absolutely brilliant throughout every stage—whether buying, renting, or selling a property. Their team is professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to making the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible. They kept me informed every step of the way and always went the extra mile to ensure everything was handled efficiently. It’s rare to find an estate agent you can trust completely, but Smartmove Homes have proven themselves time and time again. I wouldn’t consider using any other agent in the future. Thank you for such outstanding service!

We chose Whitegates Ilkeston having had valuations and quotations from 3 estate agents and from first to last we had no doubt we had made the right decision. From explaining that two sales contracts would be needed to take account of our circumstances to accompanied viewings with feedback on each of them and liaising with us on offers, the service was exceptional. Highly recommended.

After a successful viewing hosted by Andrew though it did start moving. And then Meghan was constantly updating us throughout the process so yes 5 stars from me! Thanks guys!

Marcus has communicated with us very well and is very knowledgeable about the market. Communication was clear and efficient from start to finish, and arranging access was very straightforward, thanks to Marie for coordinating everything so smoothly. Pete, who attended, replaced the dripping tap with a new one and was friendly, professional, and efficient throughout. The work was completed quickly and to a high standard. Very happy with the service overall, highly recommend!

20th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)We would recommend Bricks and Mortar and would use them again. The cost was great and the photographs/write up used for marketing were excellent. They were accessible throughout the viewing process and responded quickly when we wanted to discuss price and marketing adjustments and actioned these quickly. Once the sale was agreed we were allocated a named member of the team for sales progression who was very pleasant and helpful. Earlier in the sales process they were not as proactive as we might have liked but were amazing in the final few weeks and days when things became more complex and helped us get the sale across the line.

Every member of staff we had an interaction with were amazing, they were polite; and honest about the process . A special thanks to Donna who went the extra mile to get the chain moving and completed. If I were to move again I would not choose any other estate agent.other than Freckleton Brown.
17th Dec 2025 (15 weeks ago)Recently sold a property with these, I honestly can’t recommend them enough . From the initial valuation right up until the day of the sale the whole team were amazing. The team kept in contact effectively and aired their opinions on proceedings and offer advice to aid with the sale. All questions I had (no matter how stupid) were answered in a friendly professional manner. All viewings on the property were booked and handled by the team and feedback was honest and delivered in a timely manner. Not once was I pressured or hassled into using any of their services but was advised of the services they offered . All the team seemed to be in the loop of the progression so was able to responded to all queries no matter the day I contacted them. 100% these guys would be my first port of call if I was to sell a property again in future.

Any issues are dealt with immediately and communicated straight away which is really important to me as a landlord. So happy to have found a manager that shares my principles and cares about the tenant experience. I had put off writing this review due to a terrible experience with previous property manager (Haart) who did not care at all for the tenant or landlord ignoring maintenance issues and failing to communicate or respond to either tenants or landlord communication efforts. For this reason I wanted a good amount of time to pass whilst working with One Sales and Lettings to ensure my review of their services was accurate. I have been working with One sales and Lettings now for 15 months but had been in communication for around two years and am very happy to give a 5 start review. Excellent company and service that take great pride in what they do, something missing from many companies these days. Thank you to Amy and your team, I look forward to many years working together. Highly recommend to tenants and landlords alike.

18th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)Your Move, Belper, were exceptionally helpful and professional in every aspect of the sale, from the initial valuation through to the final sale. We felt our preferences were considered seriously and incorporated into the advertising and photos. We were kept informed at every stage and were extremely patient listening to our queries and answered our questions in a really helpful manner. We never once felt as if we were being told 'leave it to the professionals', but felt as if we were a whole part of the process.
