5th Oct 2020 (4 years ago)If you are renting in Bishop Auckland, go elsewhere. Rude, unprofessional and not interested at all. They allowed a vulnerable tenant to live in a complete and utter pigsty with no roof, wall to wall mould, with bags of human waste and needles filling the yard and have consistently negated their legal obligations. Thankfully, the tenant has since moved out, these clowns won't be laughing when this gets to court. I cannot recommend this shambles of a company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

30th Mar 2025 (11 weeks ago)Avoid at all costs. Poor communications, excuse after excuse, I went to another estate agent around the corner and sold my house within 2 weeks after many months trying with Rise. The solicitors they use are equally as bad and con artists. Very, very poor firm.

31st May 2025 (17 days ago)While looking to relocate from the US to the UK, we considered various different properties and interacted with a number of different estate agents and so we recognize the level of professionalism, service and commitment provided by Tony Dobbins and his amazing team is not common in the field. As remote buyers, trust in the Estate Agent is paramount - you're not there in person. Tony organized a virtual visit to one particular property which had terrible internet service in the interior. Undeterred, he provided us with a detailed and well narrated walk-through which he then provided promptly. Throughout the process, he has been quick to respond to our (many!) questions and has been extremely knowledgeable about both the property and the surrounding area. Not being familiar with the process in England, he has also patiently walked us through what that looks like, and provided recommendations for solicitors and so on to facilitate getting started. 29th May 2025 (19 days ago)I was completely new to buy-to-let (hadn't been my first choice but had to do it) and hadn't a clue what to do. Ben Charles have been absolutely fantastic. They have guided me through every step of the process and provided amazing support. Every person I have dealt with has been very helpful, courteous and friendly at all times and were always willing to 'go the extra mile' to help. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Excellent service! ** Update, May 2025 ** I have used Ben Charles again to help me sell my property and, once again, they were absolutely brilliant. Very courteous at all times, responding to queries promptly, providing clear help and, overall, a joy to work with. Great people!

Overvalued the house to get the listing but I’ve now reduced the price more in line with comparable properties and hoping we may get some viewings and a sale soon.
