5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BRH is a great estate and lettings agency. They are upfront and honest with information, and you will struggle to find a more professional organization. Every piece of information that we needed was provided promptly and fully. You can just tell from each interaction/correspondence that all staff in the organization’s different departments are extremely competent. In a nutshell, a well-run, friendly, and professional organization. We will certainly be recommending BRH to our contacts, and of course using them again to grow our portfolio.

1st Jul 2023 (1 year ago)I never leave bad reviews but this one is warranted. I would have given 2 stars but as a landlord and owner of a property, I had to remember I was paying these people. I must commend them for at least following through with what was required of them but that was the least. The correspondence was abysmal regarding time. I would send Omega an email and I would get a response after I remind them of the initial email at least another 3 times. I believe they had a hidden relationship between the tenants and covertly prolonged a request to empty the property to benefit the tenant. An example of this was making excuses for the tenant being on holiday. After contacting Omega on the day they had told me the tenant had returned, they said the tenant was on holiday again. Constant reminders to remind this tenant was ignored and then they posted a picture of the notice to the tenant to vacate the property. They made little effort to contact the tenant and lacked foresight, which led to a break in because they had left a notice outside informing every passerby that the property was empty. So many emails of mine to Omega consisted of "I have not had a response from you yet regarding.." The staff here are just generally slow at thinking. I had someone pick up the keys to my property from them, and Omega required ID and contact. Omega was given a business card, and they photocopied it and gave it back. The purpose of a business card is to hand it out. Why was it photocopied. I'm very patient and I'm used to very little or poor service. The majority of my reviews are above 4 stars. Unfortunately it's the complete experience that was a let down.

You don’t deal with just one agent everyone’s in the loop so if someone has a holiday your progress doesn’t stop! From start to finish.. Hannah, Michelle and Kate were all brilliant and would highly recommend

25th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Asking for all sorts of checks, identification, bank statements to book a VIEWING for a ROOM, not a flat or house. Every other estate agent in Barnsley. I have been able to get viewings without doing this. Don't let them waste your time. Edit: offered me a viewing with just ID and asked me to delete, have already found a place so I declined. Keeping it up for future prospective tenants to know this is an option. We’re all busy and your time is valuable people, estates agents should accommodate viewings with simple identification or other confirmations, not a full application form. Luckily 99% of estate’s agents and private landlords do. Wish you guys luck with your room/house search.

Sold newly built houses , Sold renovated properties Manage a very large property portfolio for me. (also can arrange repairs carried out at reasonable costs too)
18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
12th Jan 2021 (3 years ago)Awful company! I rent through a different estate agents but the building I live in is managed by Craven Wildsmith. They send the most unprofessional people who look like they're on day-release from somewhere or doing community service. Swearing, shouting, urinating in the communal gardens and make sexual remarks to the tenants living there. A bit worried to leave my home unattended when they're around in case they break in and steal anything - I wouldn't trust them. They send window cleaners, gardeners, maintenance people without any notice. Being on the ground floor and working nights, this is a recipe for disaster! Being woken up by leaf blowers, strimmers etc. after working all through the night. Also, during day shifts I am working from home, it's not ideal for me to be taking calls from customers with people swearing and shouting outside. Not all of us in the building are renters, some are home owners who aren't paying towards this either which is another issue. Absolutely no respect for the people living in the buildings. These are peoples homes not just a commercial building.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)From the moment that Shaun walked into my late parents’ home to value it, my boyfriend and I knew he was the right estate agent to go with. From the beginning to the end, Shaun was friendly, honest, upfront and very respectful of the difficult time I was going through after losing my mother. As I live in London and couldn’t be at the house often, Shaun would go the extra mile to check on it, organise and supervise repairs after a leak was discovered and even returned to the property after the sale had taken place to collect some belongings that I left behind that had huge sentimental value. I have no hesitation in recommending Shaun to anyone. I couldn’t recommend anyone more. You will definitely feel looked after.
