29th May 2026 (16 days ago)We unfortunately needed to transfer to another PM due to them shutting down and were referred to BRH (blessing in disguise), we've been with them for 4 years and I can honestly say they were highly likely the best referral out of the other options we had for the area. It started with a call with Carl Agar who gave us the assurances from their establishment and how long they have been around for which then made me comfortable to sign with them. Ever since then we only got the best guidance and solutions suited to our plans. Along that journey we had their property manager in our care, Amy, who was top-notch through and through. She left and came back which we were so happy about! Alongside them, Carly, who was in the admin team, has now been promoted and I could have easily seen that happening from a mile away or recommended it myself. Carly was always reliable (Happy voice) or accommodating our needs, she always understood, organized and communicated as a landlord would want. Never questioning but answering or providing solutions. How I felt with BRH was even though I knew our portfolio wasn't huge, I didn't ever feel like we were "the little guys." We were treated with care and urgency when needed, and we were never deprioritized. Further along our journey, Georgia took over from Amy and she was on point too, so you can tell they hire only people with the right level of expertise. Our journey needed to come to an end because of circumstances, so it was time for us to sell. BRH assigned Josh to the opportunity who was already introduced to us at that point. So we knew we were in good hands as he always went the extra mile for us, we also reluctantly asked for small favours but they were never questioned but done. But primarily the reason why we still chose to go ahead with BRH for our sale was his expertise and professionalism. The way they evaluate our property and the way they present us to the open market gave us, I felt, the best exposure to achieve our sale. We managed to complete on both the agreed terms and timeline we expected. IF we do ever come back to the market for this area, I would be happy to reach out to BRH again.

23rd May 2026 (22 days ago)I had a disappointing experience trying to arrange a viewing with this agency. I made multiple attempts to arrange a viewing but didn’t receive any clear confirmation. I was told emails hadn’t come through, which was frustrating. Then l was given a time over the phone and told that another viewer would be there before 15 min ago. And l asked them whether 15 min would be enough to see the house. They said yes and l would receive confirmation email with address of the house but l never received that confirmation email. As a result l was unable to attend the viewing. As a serious buyer with an agreement in principle, l expected a more organised and responsive service.

8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

My conveyance was not the easiest to navigate yet the team supported me throughout the process acting equitably and going the extra mile to ensure things went smoothly. Anya was a steadfast element to the sale process keeping us informed and abreast of the process throughout and communicating efficiently with all parties. Thank you for making the situation bearable and also the process smooth - highly recommended and appreciated!

13th Jun 2026 (1 day ago)Property was on market for 6 months and they did no of the viewings, I had to do them all. They got hardly any feedback on nearly 20 viewings and were quite rude when discussing my property with me. I wouldn’t use them again.

When we went to collect the keys to our new house, we were delighted to receive a welcome hamper of prosecco and Yorkshire goodies.
15th Jul 2025 (10 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.

30th May 2026 (15 days ago)Property sold after 3 days of listing and completion took place around 1 month later. Can't complain - Divan & Jack were amazing and kept me reassured the whole time. I'll be bringing Let Property another one of my on the next tax year. Highly recomended.

21st May 2026 (24 days ago)?Very disappointing experience with EweMove. ?I chose their most expensive package and even paid extra for photos, but the pictures were poor and the listing went live with missing information. Despite charging a hefty 15% of the monthly rent, they only arranged a few viewings over two months and failed to find a tenant. ?To make matters worse, they broke my balcony door during a viewing. While they initially agreed to pay for the damage, they first stalled by telling me I’d have to wait two weeks until they returned from holiday. Now, they are outright refusing to pay for the damage they caused. ?I listed the flat myself on OpenRent and found a great tenant in just 3 days. EweMove provided an incredibly expensive service with very poor results, capped off by a complete lack of integrity regarding the property damage. I strongly recommend avoiding them.
