8th Jul 2026 (21 days ago)Very disappointing experience with Carter Jonas Cambridge. I would strongly advise tenants to avoid renting through them.<br><br>In my experience, they use unclear tenancy rules to push extra rent and disputed charges onto tenants. My contract was originally fixed-term, but after legal changes they treated it as rolling and tried to charge me almost two extra months, even though I had contacted them in advance about moving out.<br><br>Even before I moved out, I experienced repeated unexpected charges and payment requests, including cleaning-related and other fees outside the deposit. It felt like once you rent through them, they keep finding ways to send invoices and make tenants pay more.<br><br>I was also once locked out of the property for three days without proper support, and there were occasions where access to the property was arranged or carried out without proper prior notice to me.<br><br>Overall, the whole experience was extremely stressful, unclear and unfair. I honestly regret renting through them and would not recommend them to any tenant. If you do rent through them, keep everything in writing, take photos/videos, and challenge every invoice or deduction.
23rd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)AI’d their photos on a house listing in Ackworth. The listing photo’s looked presentable, however when we viewed the photos were an absolute hellhole. Paul at the agency even admitted they do ‘enhance’ the photos. Don’t waste your time.

26th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)On behalf of my son Richard…..I was new to buying a property and Hope at Stephensons was the Estate Agent for the sellers. My own online solicitor and the vendors solicitor were quite slow to the point my mortgage offer was only valid for 6 months (took 5 months 2 weeks to completion). To be honest without Hopes additional work over and above working tirelessly with both sets of solicitors I think I would have lost the house purchase. Hope was so helpful and patience with me when I was getting no updates from my own solicitor. Hope went above and beyond her own job description. Thankyou Hope, I am forever grateful to you for getting this over the finish line. Brilliant work.
22nd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)Don't list your property for sale with this company if you want potential buyers to be able to view it. I've tried repeatedly by email, phone message, website forms and rightmove messages to arrange a viewing of 2 properties but no one ever responds. I see someone else reviewing had a similar experience, so if I were a seller I would just not list with them as if buyers can't view then they don't offer. Why this is, I have no idea - but as a seller I'd certainly query why they don't respond to genuine buyer enquiries, particularly from those who are ready to offer.<br><br>In 25 years of buying and selling property I've never found an agency who appears to simply ignore my enquiry. I was ready to buy, yet they have ignored my enquiries.<br><br>Awful service for an agency.<br><br>As a note to the agency, before they attempt to say it was a technology glitch: I attempted contact via multiple methods over 7 days. 1) 4 Rightmove Enquiries 2) Website Form 3) Phone Message 4) Email to the Sales Director/Head of Sales.
8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

From the very first conversation, she was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in getting the best outcome for me — not just closing a deal quickly. She kept me informed at every single stage, was always quick to respond to questions (even outside normal hours), and handled the entire process smoothly despite the usual complexities of a property sale. Her market knowledge, calm, honest approach and attention to detail made what can be a stressful experience feel completely manageable. 13th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)Property was on market for 6 months and they did no of the viewings, I had to do them all. They got hardly any feedback on nearly 20 viewings and were quite rude when discussing my property with me. I wouldn’t use them again.

13th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)I find it hard to describe the love and respect I have for Lincoln Ralph. We was on the market last year for 7 months with a different estate agent and couldn’t sell our house. With Lincoln Ralph, sold in two days at the asking price. The whole team, Michael, Anthony, Graham, Nikki- absolutely outstanding. We have a stable future thanks to this team, a good estate agent makes a difference and honestly if they asked me to pay double I would have done it! Special thank you to Michael, who single handed kept our chain running and moving forward. He made sure others stuck to deadlines, constantly chasing them to get a move on. He would explain things even our solicitors wouldn’t - and never made me feel like a single question was a stupid one (yes, I asked a lot of stupid questions). Our future family, my wife, our upcoming baby all appreciate him and the team. Amazing work guys, I will never ever forget to a different estate agent in future

I took a property, which unbeknownst to myself or the agency (i can not stress that enough), that was not an appropriate living situation for me and my daughter. The following day, I contacted the agency and informed them. The amount of sympathy and support I recieved was incredible. Vegas worked around the clock, with the full support of Harley, to swap me into a lovely new place which I move into shortly! The communication has been incredible, at this point I think I've probably been Vegas' full time job ???????????? but shes never complained and ALWAYS got back to me and been on the other end of the phone when I've needed her. The way she's fought my corner....there are truly no words that would be great enough! But thank you guys so so much! ?? highly recommend this company and i have done so to friends of mine!

17th Jul 2026 (12 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.
