24th Mar 2025 (8 weeks ago)I’ve been a tenant with Ellis & Co for four years, and unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing. - Appointments are unreliable — more than once, they either didn’t show up or cancelled last minute. - Emails are rarely answered; I have to call nearly every time just to get a response. - They use the cheapest contractors, and the quality reflects that. One handyman even told me a proper oven/hob install wasn’t possible — I ended up fixing it myself. - The staff is often rude or misinformed when I speak to them, though I’ve heard they’re much more responsive to landlords. The only reason I’ve stayed is because I’m on great terms with my landlady — but if you have a choice, I’d strongly suggest looking for a different agency.
25th Apr 2025 (23 days ago)I rented a shared property from 2021 until present. Letting Agent John assisted me throughout this process and has been a great point of contact for my whole tenancy. He was professional and documentation was provided for the deposit and contract. Any issues that arised in the property, John would action them immediately. Overall great experience start to finish and I couldnt recommend this estate agents anymore to everyone.

Always arriving early for viewings and knowledgeable about a property and the area. When my son was looking to buy in the Islington area, Isabel really stood out. I wish her much future success. She is just who a seller would want working for them to secure a buyer.

Nothing is too much trouble for him. Genuinely a pleasure to work with. We were buyers for a property, and he had both our and the seller's best interests in mind!
14th Dec 2021 (3 years ago)I have worked with Cityzen since 2006, having bought from them and now use them to find and manage tenants. More recently, I had a flat had the with a leak in the roof. COVID-19 and a painful freeholder meant it took ages to get sorted. Thankfully though, Danny and team at Cityzen were amazing. He kept on it for me, hammering away with contractors, insurance companies, even the managing agent, schooling them in how to get stuff done! Danny came through, putting in a super human effort to get the flat back on the market and let as quickly as possible! These guys are brilliant. 5*
