10th Nov 2025 (20 weeks ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

From the very first viewing, Jo was was always quick to respond to questions, kept me fully updated throughout the process, and explained everything clearly, which made the whole journey far less stressful. Thanks to Jo, we felt supported every step of the way. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

13th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)Irlam Estates made the selling process as stress free as possible throughout the whole process, from the initial valuation all the way through to completion day. They have a friendly team that are always on hand to listen to any concerns and answer any questions. All the staff involved provided an excellent service and I can't recommend them enough.

We moved in early October 2025 and still as of March 13th 2026 there's STILL a load of rubbish left behind from a previous tenant/builder around the side and back of our garage. I have rang Gascoigne Halman many times to raise and chase the issue but nothing is being done about it. As renters the house should be ready to move into it shouldn't be on us to arrange and pay for the removal of this rubbish not left by us!

We’ve bought a house through The Property Man, the chain was complex with many unexpected twists and turns throughout but Jessica and team took it all in their stride, always acting with the upmost professionalism. Superb communication and a clear amount of expertise, we wouldn’t hesitate to sell our home through TPM in the future (we wish we did in the first place!)

From the very first meeting, they were different to other estate agents we’d encountered; extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and completely reassuring. Selling a house can be stressful, but they handled everything with confidence and clarity, keeping us informed at every stage. The marketing was excellent, the communication was consistent, and they worked incredibly hard to secure a great sale for us. At the same time they found us our perfect family home and supported us through the purchase, making the whole process feel seamless. They were always available to answer questions, chase updates, and smooth out any bumps along the way. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
