16th Oct 2024 (7 mo. ago)AVOID THIS. I recently rented a property through Taylor’s and had a very disappointing experience. During the renting process, I specifically asked the agent multiple times whether all utilities were included. Each time, she assured me that they were. Even when I received the contract, I asked again to confirm that utilities were included, and once more, I was told that everything was covered. However, after moving in, I was informed by the landlord (who lives nearby) that the internet was not included. When I approached the agent, she simply pointed to the contract and explained that the internet wasn’t part of the utilities. This was extremely frustrating because she had never mentioned this crucial detail during the contracting process, despite my repeated questions. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that, even in the contract, the definition of utilities clearly includes electricity, gas, water, and internet. Now, I’m stuck in a six-month lease, but all broadband plans in the area are for 18 or 24 months. Who is going to cover this extra cost? Had I known from the start that internet wasn’t included, I would have reconsidered my options and possibly rented for a longer term to align with the broadband plans. I’m left questioning if this constitutes some form of deception, as the agent deliberately withheld important information to mislead me into renting the property. It feels dishonest and manipulative, and I strongly urge others to avoid dealing with this company. Very disappointing and unprofessional.
7th Nov 2024 (6 mo. ago)No. Just no. Constant trespassing on property by teens, old enough to know better, have led us to complain - to no avail.l, so must go civil, apparently. They wait until we are not home, throwing balls at house, or playing on our patio, uninvited and while we are out, until one of them gets hurt on our owned property, we are left responsible. Countless emails to this agent, and videos. Was asked by police if I wanted to file a formal report and said no, thinking this agent would be reasonable as in, how would he like it if this were happening to him? A decision I regret, but now see this is harassment of us, as two older women living together, alone, perhaps, to regard us with interpreted LGBT discrimination? Or probably seen as vulnerable? Not sure which…because I cannot understand why an agent wouldn’t want to ensure the peace and safety of surrounding properties, and their owners. Makes no sense. Also, These are Not children - teens, old enough to know better. Tried speaking, kindly, to one of the mothers of these kids only to be sworn at for all neighbourhood to hear. Sent to agent - nothing. Rules for freehold property ownership not being upheld, and intimidation and harassment of two older women living alone.

I would truly recommend.
12th Mar 2025 (10 weeks ago)?Not the best experience with brown and merry Woburn sands. I've viewed many properties with them, most of which were late, and a couple of times they didn't turn up at all until I called and asked if someone was coming 15–20 minutes after the appointment time. I had my property up for sale with them last year. It's now 5 months later, and it's still listed on Rightmove besides being asked multiple times to take it down. The advertising compared to other estate agents is very poor. Regular turn over of staff. Mostly very young and inexperienced staff that didn't have the answer to our questions. They tried to charge me an extortionate amount at first to sell my property but haggled them to less than half of the originally quoted number, yet if you call a much better local estate agent down the road they will straight away quote you their price no attempts to fleece money out of you (this was much lower than brown and merry with a wholly better experience) I could go on and on, but I'll sum it up as an all-round bad experience and highly recommend people avoid them, especially selling your property with them. We ended up going with the local estate agent mentioned earlier which was a much better and professional experience.

A team of working professionals. Right from the moment I called them for a viewing right through to now having moved in to then having the first issue, things were taken care of promptly and always treated with respect and dignity. I truly hope this letting agent continues to grow and flourish, as they epitomise what excellent customer service is.

7th Apr 2025 (6 weeks ago)Shocking treatment – avoid Black & White Estate Agent at all costs This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a letting agency. After years of being responsible, respectful tenants, we were met with nothing but arrogance, intimidation, and completely unjustified demands at the end of our tenancy. Despite having a clear agreement and giving them everything they asked for—including cleaning and handing over keys—they came back with a long, inflated list of “damages” and “issues,” many of which were clearly fabricated or severely exaggerated. They even tried to charge us nearly £2,000 with less than 24 hours to respond, using threatening language and false accusations to back it up. It was clear this was just a cash grab. The level of unprofessionalism from the landlord and Black & White was disgraceful. They had zero interest in fairness or the truth—just how much money they could squeeze out of us before the next tenant moved in. Do yourself a favour: avoid these people entirely. They are not trustworthy, they will twist your words, ignore your efforts, and leave you feeling completely powerless. Disgusting behaviour, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

From my initial contact with Ivor Lafford, he has been extremely helpful and accommodating. Throughout the conveyancing process, Ivor has done a considerable amount of chasing to ensure that the whole transaction went as smoothly as possible. Overall, I am a very happy customer 10/10.
26th May 2022 (2 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.
15th May 2025 (7 days ago)I had to ask for many things in terms of comms on keeping me updated on what’s happening. I was kept in the dark at first until I complained about it. Then all of a sudden viewings started happening magically. Unfortunately wherever you go these days, if you don’t speak up or complain, you don’t get anything.
18th Nov 2024 (6 mo. ago)After coming across a negative review of inspired from a potential buyer of mine, I am very upset with the lies and harm this review has caused. The buyer described her experience as extremely negative, stating that inspired has lied to her when in fact they have been very clear and on top of what was happening, interests, the progress, policies, and most importantly the COST of everything. After wasting a year with this buyer through a different agency and now another year with the SAME buyer through inspired…clearly the issue is not with the agency… As a seller I am very happy with the quality of care, compassion and professionalism in this agency. Really recommend inspired, they have been doing an amazing job! Shame that when someone can’t make their mind up whether to buy or not is now expressing themselves negatively on the agency. Keep up the good work inspired!

I was really pleased with the service the provided, it was good value and they helped sell my flat quickly and once the deal was agreed, Clair Stallwood was very helpful dealing with my buyer and making sure the deal went to completion as smoothly as possible, which it did. No complaints and I would certainly use them again if I was listing my property for sale.

From the very beginning the communication was excellent, first of all dealing with Dom to arrange a viewing and then negotiating on the offer. We had quite a lengthy process due to solicitors and everything that comes with buying and selling in the UK. It was made a lot smoother thanks to Elliot at Lion Estates who was the sales progressor for the purchase. He helped with communication between solicitors and even assisted on our sale, this definitely eased the stress! They also took the time to arrange another viewing before completion. Everyone in the team we spoke to were very friendly, helpful and honest. I’d certainly recommend them and use them in future for selling a property.
