24th Sep 2024 (7 mo. ago)The company is a very responsible company with enthusiastic and patient service. In August 2022, I was nearly 70 years old and came to Newcastle with my granddaughter who was not yet 15 years old to attend high school. The first difficult task was renting a house. The company's new manager received us and helped us choose a house. He was not afraid of trouble until he helped us find a satisfactory one. I rented it for two years and received meticulous care and assistance. Around Christmas of the first year, the warm air broke down in the evening and the weather was particularly cold. The company employees had already finished work. I called Manager Zeng, who arrived soon and personally repaired it until late at night, which moved us a lot. Due to my lack of English proficiency, Manager Zeng specifically designated a young employee named Xiaoqiu who can speak Chinese to contact me. Xiaoqiu is also very enthusiastic and responsible. I sincerely thank the new manager and his team of this company from the bottom of my heart!

6th Apr 2022 (3 years ago)Andrew Lawson Estate Agents is a hidden gem in the North East. Mr Lawson is a very friendly person and has plenty of years of experience in the area and is very knowledgable. All their properties are fairly priced, which means equally good for the seller and buyer, so no pull out after making an offer. Just bought one property through them and would really recommend to those who are considering either to sell or buy.

Well worth their slightly higher than average fees.

From the initial discussions and advice for putting my house on the market, to the quick sale of the property at the asking price, my dealings with the Bridgfords property team has been outstanding, James Mansfield from the Newcastle office initially discussed the work required to get the property to market then decided on the appropriate valuation. The day to day property visits and selling of the property was put in the hands of Val Robson at the Ponteland branch, and her capable team including Lynne Gofton. A buyer was found within days of the property going on the market. Val Robson from my local office in Ponteland was brilliant She was so friendly, helpful and kept in touch with me every step of the way so I knew what was happening or what to expect. She always replied whenever 1 had a query or was unsure of the next step, as had no recent experience of the process. She kept me fully informed so I didnt need to worry about a thing, I would 100% recommend this company and particularly Val at Ponteland. Without her it would have been a much more stressful journey. Everything went smoothly without any hiccups. Thank you Val, and your team - I really appreciate all your help and support ??

31st Jan 2022 (3 years ago)I have never sold a house before so I was a complete novice. I think they probably would agree that the property was a bit too far away to give a proper service. It was 40 mins away. They should not have taken it on The staff in the office were always unfailingly polite. When my son had given them a rocket, the property then sold. I thought (as it turned out) the property was put on at an unrealistic price and although I agreed that price with the Agent, I should in retrospect taken other Agents advice. The other Agents were completely correct as to what it fetched. I read all the information about how to sell houses too late. I have learned a lot.
29th Nov 2024 (25 weeks ago)I was a tenant via this letting agency for 18 months, while waiting to buy a new home, and had a series of negative experiences. 1) The home I rented was in poor condition throughout. 2) The garden was overgrown and it was my responsibility to address upon moving in. 3) When I raised an issue with poor ventilation leading to mould in the bathroom, I was asked if I could just 'live with it' (despite pointing out I had two young children). 4) A leaking roof took 2 months to repair. 5) A dryer took 2 months to replace. 6) It would take weeks for Dobson's to reply to e-mails, yet harassing e-mails for rent would be received several days before it was due (despite the fact my direct debit was always scheduled for the same time every single month) 7) When I attempted to serve notice at the end of my tenancy, an attempt was made to 'haggle' me into staying longer. 8) Following moving out, the estate agent retains £1230 of my deposit and has failed to even reply to requests for its return. Overall, I would strongly avoid using Dobson's.
18th May 2023 (2 years ago)Huge thank you to Jeanette snd Mary who helped with the purchase of our new home. It was quite stressful for us at times and we had a few (a lot!) bumps in the road. We were very dependent on the team especially towards the end of the buying process for many reasons. I truly believe without their help on an almost daily basis we would still be waiting for the sale to have been finalised. We are now 4 weeks in our new home and are so happy. The stress long forgotten. The team are Very professional, very “on it” and also want to do the best for the buyer. Thank you all.

From sale and purchase through to completion they were professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Tess in particular handled our sale/purchase progression and was, without doubt, the most helpful and competent person we dealt with throughout any of the transactions. On so many occasions her knowledge helped us to keep the transactions progressing. She recognised our situation and did absolutely everything she could, going above and beyond, to support us at a very stressful time. Thanks very much!

Moved in July 2024 (around 5 months ago) and we still have outstanding maintenance issues to be fixed despite raising these issues through Hive’s maintenance system the first week we moved in. We have contacted multiple members of staff regarding these issues and half of them have been resolved after chasing them but the rest seems to be forgotten about. I have now gave up chasing for them to be fixed.
