30th Jan 2020 (4 years ago)Martyn was very helpful upon my move in and viewing. However when it was time for me to move out, they withheld some of my deposit money because the property wasn't clean enough. I didn't complain when upon my move in the floor was as dirty as the grount outside, but now I got charged money because I didn't clean? They even provided pictures about how it wasn't "clean". There was no dirt on the pictures.
6th Mar 2019 (5 years ago)WORST AGENCY in Reading, First they charge commission for every service, but their after service is very poor. They don't treat their customers nicely at all, Also once you check out the property they will charge plenty of amount randomly which is non deniable. They will charge you with check out charge, even if the room is clean they charge minimum of 50GBP. They will harass and take a lot of money once you check out. I paid 81GBP FOR THIS ATTACHED BELOW. THEY WILL CHARGE BUT THEY WILL NOT CLEAN OR PROVIDE THAT SERVICE TO THEIR NEXT CUSTOMER.

2nd May 2024 (12 weeks ago)Disaster. I rented through them for more than an year and would not recommend them. Bad services, misleading communication and ignoring attitude towards their clients.

They are the most unorganised, unprofessional and the rudest agency I have ever been with, they have left us without a shower for over 3 months, the lied about the property being professionally cleaned, all they care about is money! Lesley and Rob their head of lettings are the people that we have been dealing with, Rob was lying through his teeth to get us into the property, these people don’t have any respect for their tenants! And now since we left the property they are causing so many issues it’s actually an utter joke.

28th Jun 2021 (3 years ago)Property was grubby when we moved in (other peoples things left in the property like clothes etc.). We were fine tenants for almost 2 years but as time went on more and more issues with the property. The issues often took very long to get any response on (apparently due to the landlord not getting back to the agency). The windows did not open and we were told only one could be fixed for the moment as it was expensive (in a one sided ventilated property). We also had a huge leak with water pouring through which needed redecorating the painter came and told us he had been told to just "patch it up" and not redecorate the huge stains properly. We gave notice and only then the suddenly emailed and asked if they completed all the works we had been asking for for months would we consider staying in the property (to which we politely declined). We also had issues with neighbors and our emails were often ignored. To top this off they tried charging us over £100 for a "professional clean" at the end of tenancy even though it was left spotless (and in a much better condition than we were handed it in) - I disputed it and suddenly the charge was removed. The lady we dealt with was rude and unprofessional (in agreement with a previous review here). Interestingly the bad reviews seem to have been deleted recently. Watch out for them - wouldn`t recommend.

10th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)I had a viewing scheduled at 3:30, but the agent was over 11 minutes late without any prior communication. When contacted, the agent attempted to deceive me about their arrival time. I understand that delays can occur however it's unacceptable to be dishonest about it. This lack of professionalism and honesty reflects poorly on the agency's service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend dealing with them.Whiteknights Estate Agents - Lower Earley
