6th Sep 2024 (3 days ago)Unfortunately, we did not have a positive experience in trying to sell our home in Basingstoke with Gascoigne-Pees. I have outlined the issues we encountered along with the categories you seek feedback for. Communication - We struggled to make contact with the agents after viewing or if we wished to discuss strategy. Promised call backs were often not made. It was frustrating. Valuation accuracy - Sadly, this was not great. The price at which we finally got offers was 12% lower than the original price we were advised we could achieve and within only 3 months of going to market. When we questioned this were were told it was due to "market forces" but we had placed our trust in Nic and Martina that they understood the local market and had advised us correctly. It did not feel that this was the case. Advertising of the property - We had no concerns with the photographs or listings on the property portals. We were concerned none of the original agents we dealt with showed the property. Those that did could not answer simply questions from potential buyers such as "Is there a chain?". Value for money - I believe the pricing structure is similar to many other local agents. Local Market Knowledge - Please see above for the concerns I listed in Valuation Accuracy.

Without a doubt the best agents and mortgage advisors I've ever dealt with. I've already recommended them to several people and will definitely be using them for all mortgage advise/property sales going forwards. Gary is an amazing mortgage advisor who genuinely wants to help get you the easiest, best service. If you're unsure, choose Connells.

I can't say I was the easiest of clients following a bad experience we had as a buyer by another local estate agent, so you could say I needed abit more reassurance. Sarah made the process a smooth one and not at any point was I paranoid this might fall through. We received a sales memo 20th October and exchanged today. Great experience and cannot fault them! 5th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Our initial 1 year with Northwood was fine with good communication from staff and all, until Jardian entered into the picture. Every periodic inspection was an exhaustive process, raising issues most of which were existing before we moved in to the property. We had to spend hours finding old pictures and explaining them all.1 month after one of those inspections, we were told that they will visit us to check something the handyman fixed recently for which we agreed to be home to receive them. On the day, when we were busy with our work, we suddenly realized someone broke into our flat, only to see her casually walking in the property after she opened it with her set of keys. She then proceeded to inspect the entire property again and sent us another list of random issues. Not even a lame explanation or whatsoever when we asked why she had to inspect for the second time in a month without even informing us and use her keys without even knocking on the door even after we said we will be home to receive her. It's like they can say/do whatever they want to. One can only imagine how the end of tenancy process will be. We were charged for random things with ridiculous rude replies when we tried to negotiate. Thanks to Mydeposits scheme, we received over 60% of our claim. We are spending our time for one last time in writing this review and would see what the management had to say about all this? Wouldn't be surprised if they said any of it didn't happen.

PJH has looked after us as owners exceptionally well and has always also looked after our tenants - all of whom have enjoyed their time in our rental property. They have now completed the sale of the property on our behalf and shown themselves to be as professional as an estate agent as they are as a managing agent. Cannot recommend them enough.

3rd Jan 2023 (1 year ago)Estate Agents sometimes get a bad rap (on occasions deserved), But if you use Henry Phillips Estate Agent, they will take you through the whole process of selling the house, explaining how and why your house is advertised and when the offer comes through they lease with both sets of Solicitors. I can assure you, your stress will be much reduced. Our main contact was David Stevens and throughout it was obvious he new what he was talking about, A very proffesional job. Thankyou Ben

James was my sole point of contact during the whole process and was available evenings and weekends to answer any query, big or small. He also gave me advice on my onward purchase, which was really useful so I could confidently make the right offer ! The quality of the online marketing of the property, both photos and virtual tour was simply superb as was the paper brochure. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone !
