Difficult market and everyone sitting tight and so the effort from Victoria and her team to sell our house was even more appreciated. From the first meeting with Victoria to the day we handed the keys over we couldn’t have asked for more.<br>Super professional and kept us informed with every step of the way.<br>Wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again and throughly recommend the team to anyone wishing to sell their property in Newbury and the surrounding area. 5th Sep 2026 (13 days ago)Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Downer & Co. Having invited them and others to value my property I decided to go with them as my partner thought they were the most 'salesy' so would do a good job. It was definitely all talk as became apparent very quickly.<br><br>I was upfront to them that, having a newborn, I would prefer to have viewings on the same day/one after another and yet I was constantly only given ad-hoc timeslots on random days due to their lack of availability of staff. It was an upheaval to accommodate. The few people that did view clearly weren't looking for the things my property offered so I don't even think they were properly informed or questioned prior to booking. A huge waste of all our time.<br><br>Communication after signing their terms was poor and at one point it had gone 3 weeks without hearing a thing. When I called to chase and ask for advice on how to proceed, Stuart joked that I could 'drop the price by £50k and it would sell' - I should add, it was listed for the amount he valued it at.<br><br>The person conducting the viewings knew nothing about the property, I saw him on the ring doorbell at one viewing unable to find the keys and telling the viewers he didn't have them (they were in a key safe and given the code AND he had conducted a previous viewing!) in another, he was being asked questions about the property and was unable to answer any of them - all information had been provided when I registered so he hadn't bothered to look.<br><br>All in all just incredibly unprofessional. When I found a property I wanted to buy I gave notice, changed agents and the property sold in 8 days after just one morning of viewings back to back. It was like night and day. Thank god for the local Newbury agent in yellow and red!

8th Sep 2026 (10 days ago)My partner and I have generally had the best experience with Parker’s Tadley.<br><br>We lived at a rented property for just over 2 and a half years and I can’t thank Julie enough for all the help she has given us over the years. Julie is very quick to respond to emails, she points us in the right direction with advice and she shows she cares.<br>Not only has she been great with emails but she has always been available on the end of the phone if we needed her. When we have had maintenance issues she’s quick to speak to the landlord on our behalf and the issues get resolved quickly. Julie would come round to carry out a routine house visit and from the 1st visit to our last she was always so positive, happy and showed a real interest in our lives. It was honestly nice having her come round.<br><br>Thank you for all your help Julie, we both really appreciate it.

He provided a realistic valuation, provide a swift marketing service, having gone live on Monday, with two viewings within 24 hours and several scheduled for that week, both initial viewings yielded offers, one of which was at the full asking price. Property sold subject to contract as at 30 May 2026 I would highly recommend Charlton Grace, Mark has provided a bespoke/specialised service with clear communication and professionalism all at a very competitive agency rate, excellent job to date. Robert communicated with ourselves, our buyers and chased buyers solicitors when needed, his team also were a great help when he was on holiday. Robert recommended Switalski Solicitora and Sarah was amazing, she was so efficient and kept us updated every step of the way.<br>We felt truly looked after and considering house moving could be very stressful, we honestly thought we had a smooth and easy experience.<br>Thanks to all involved!

18th Aug 2026 (4 weeks ago)I think it depends what partnership you have, I one I had the sales pitch was great but the communication throughout once I signed up with them was terrible, at one point t after I chased and chased for feedback after 1 week after a viewing they told me I had an offer, yes it was very low, but I was never told.

They were organised and great at responding to emails or calls. They offered advice when things got a bit tricky, and were pragmatic when we had decisions to make. We were selling the house long distance, and we trusted them completely to deal with everything in our absence.
