5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)We are first buyers and with not much knowledge on mortgages. We went to a few mortgage advisors and felt we were still left clueless. Then we came to bairstow and had a really positive experience with Ella. She was very informative and has been really helpful with the process. She was always an email/phone call away and no question felt stupid. I could not recommend Ella enough.

11th Jul 2024 (16 days ago)Estate agent did not seem to be proactive in attempting to secure a sale. Did not follow up with potential buyers to negotiate or encourage an offer. Unrealistic valuation, far too high for the area that the property was situated in. Poor communication, all through email unless we rang and asked to speak to the sales negotiator

15th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)Me and my partner were first time buyers, and John Sankey were the estate agents that the vendors of the property we were buying chose. We did not have the best experience with our solicitors but Lisa at John Sankey has been absolutely incredible. She helped us with every little thing despite not really being our estate agent! Any question we had was never an issue, and she helped push things along when it felt like we weren’t getting anywhere. Lisa went above and beyond for us, and if it comes to us selling in the future we wouldn’t hesitate to go with John Sankey. Thank you Lisa

18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

The main issue and reason for the low scores is their very poor communication with ourselves and with viewers. They were relying on an auto email system to confirm viewings. We never received any of those emails and had a number of viewers that never turned up. Having cleaned the house from top to bottom and sat waiting to have no shows, then find out the no shows had never received confirmation of the viewing was very annoying. The last viewer that turned up told us it took 3 attempts to arrange a viewing and she was at the point of just putting a note through our door to arrange directly. Without the viewings you can't sell, so to have so much of our time wasted we cannot recommend this company.
