I received several valuation visits but felt most at ease with Liz so put my trust in her and her team. Saxton Mee, and in particular Jill and Liz, have provided a very good service throughout. 26th Jun 2024 (12 weeks ago)So disappointing. Started off well, then they lost staff, no contact for weeks. Couldn't get through on the phone. New starter - great promise only to be waiting weeks for any update or response to emails. They told me they were going to take steps to find a buyer and 2 weeks later told me they had employed someone else who would be taking the steps they promised to carry out 2 weeks before. No update since that of course and no response to my emails. Don't bother trying to call as you won't get through. I tried three times a day for 2 weeks, never got through and eventually gave up calling. Property initially sold quickly, buyer pulled out due to boiler issues - but I'd provided service record and evidence of minor fix needed, can't prove it of course but doubt the full information was sent across to the buyer - provided all the information and instructions to send to the buyer asap only to be asked a few days later if they were allowed to send it across. It then took them over a week to confirm the buyer had pulled out after I contacted them when the buyer's lawyer advised my lawyer after they chased for progress due to lack of response. Absolutely no movement or viewings in over 3 months but then I've only managed to speak to them once on the phone so I can only assume people wanting to book viewings are not able to get through either. Absolutely abysmal. Seem to spend all their time upselling and onboarding new properties rather than actually selling the properties they have. I'm speaking to other agents and will be getting my notice to finish my contract with them as soon as I am able. Be warned they will include a self-awarded bonus within their contracts and tie you to an initial period of 5 months advertising with them.
14th Feb 2024 (7 mo. ago)I have been trying to contact this estate agent to enquire about a property for over one and a quarter hours...no reply to my call...just an answer machine...I would be fuming if I was the vendor...very unsatisfactory... unbelievable in fact... I've been phoning on and off between 12.50 and 2.17...nothing....
10th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)There was a delay on one occasion presumably caused by Tom being away on paternity leave and no-one in the office noticing that my buyer had responded positively. Sally Botham did a first class job overall particularly the photographic work.

10th Sep 2024 (9 days ago)We have been searching for a flat to rent, and had spoken to a few agents - some were incompetent I have to say. Then we found a flat that met what we were looking for. Our daughter visited it and was shown around by Daisy Barber. Initially our application was knocked back but we persevered and had many conversations and exchanged many messages with Daisy. The process became a little complicated, but throughout Daisy was extremely patient and professional. Her loyalty of course was to your client, but her communication skills were excellent: responses to e-mails were prompt and informative; she was always at the end of the telephone if I had questions or needed advice; and unprompted updates were forthcoming. Daisy clearly has good interpersonal skills and we have thanked her, and wished her luck for the future, although I don’t think she will need luck. I have no hesitation in writing a review and had intended to write to the registered office in Bournmouth but alas couldn’t find an e-mail address. Please pass on this review to management. With thanks.

28th Apr 2024 (21 weeks ago)I Chose Jon Mellor Estate Agents because of their reputation in the Town - and they win awards year after year! - I can see why! - What a great team ! - They have just sold a house in Buxton for me - things were not very straightforward for various reasons, but they managed the process with great skill throughout. The advice provided before and during the sale was "Spot On" - They kept me informed at every stage and they could not have been more helpful or supportive. Just the right balance of friendly yet professional advice - I would recommend them to anyone - A*****
11th Sep 2024 (8 days ago)I don’t like writing this but the way we have been treated by this estate agent is terrible. All was good we had our offer excepted, happy days. Then 2 weeks later, after solicitors have got involved, we find out the garden as shown in the brochure with decking and a shed on it, oh and patio doors opening onto it doesn’t belong to the property at all. Apparently they have squatters rights to the land, but want our solicitors to sort it out. If we had known this from the start we would never have made an offer on the property.

I found both teams to be very proactive and professional. A big thank you to Sue in the Sales Office for all her help and support during our recent house sale, and to Rena for her help with renting our son's house. Both sales and rental processes were clearly explained and charges were very competitive. I wouldn't hesitate in using Northwood again!
