28th Jun 2024 (29 days ago)I am badly disappointed by the unprofessional and negligent service I received from Reeds Rains Estate Agents Reddish as a first time buyer . After taking more than 5 months, i have nothing in my hands. My time and money spoiled due to unprofessional behaviours of staff. Never recommend anyone to use them. Totally disappointed
30th Apr 2024 (13 weeks ago)PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION! Myself and my partner moved into 21 Oaklands dene, Hyde. After only have been there less than a month we found that the property had rats! This was a previous issue which had NOT been resolved, Taylor & Wood were not interested and would not help with the situation. We had to call out a private pest control who had to come numerous times, they said that it was one of the worst infestations they had seen, it had also spread into neighbouring homes. Repairs need carrying out on the home to prevent this from reoccurring but again Taylor & Wood were not interested. We managed to get out of the contract after negations but after all the stress and having to moved out as it was not safe to live in and also at the Christmas period. LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL AVOID TAYLOR AND WOOD LETTINGS.

16th Jun 2021 (3 years ago)Sent a web request for information on a property for sale. They sent me an email saying they tried to call me and for me to call them. Unfortunately I use my phone for texts and emails as I have a communication disability so phoning isn’t a possibility. It’s a shame that society is so ableist. I sent a web request for a reason... for information. I only need this information provided. I don’t need a verbal conversation about it. Is this for information to be gathered about me?? You could potentially have stopped a clients sale here as well as just made your properties inaccessible to me. On the positive. Quick response

We have been greatly impressed by their friendliness, approachability, patience and kindness from the initial valuation of our property to sale completion. If you want a client focussed sales team who are highly professional, proactive and supportive in every aspect of their work then give them a call. From our experience you won’t be disappointed.
12th Jul 2024 (15 days ago)If i could give zero i would. We were buyers and Edward mellor were friendly until we received our keys. Seller had left the house in an awful state, ourselves and our solicitors have tried contacting edward mellor (less then an hour after getting the keys from them) for assistance and we were told its not their problem. Our solicitor confirmed normally in these situations estate agents are super helpful and get things resolved. Shame on you Edward Mellor Hazel Grove!!
11th Jul 2024 (16 days ago)I cannot praise Dale, Rachel and Gary highly enough! Four days on the market and my house is sold. Dale and Rachel beant over backwards, viewing the property themselves, sourcing and sending the perfect buyers, not one single time waster. They kept me updated with appointments regularly working around my hectic schedule. Thank you guys so much for making an incredibly stressful time so much easier!!!

From day one we were given excellent help and advice. All the staff were very professional, easy to contact, friendly and courteous. Also thanks to other members of staff we did not meet who kept us up to date as the sale progressed. We would not hesitate to recommend the Marple branch of Edward Mellor. John & Pauline Johnson.

I am landlord and the exceptional service I have received from him I really do thank dean what an asset to reed rains. Also would like to thank Rebecca and Nick who have also been great through the process with my brother selling his property. Highly recommend.

Dealt with Liz at Marple office what a star she went the extra mile in everything she did kept in touch as soon as she knew anything what she didn't know she would go that extra mile to find out, couldn't have asked for more. 21st Sep 2022 (1 year ago)I have to say in the early stages of purchasing my intended property that “ Linda” who showed me around the property initially as viewing rep for J.Waddon was the best I’ve encountered. Her professionalism was exceptional…. Even after the viewing ..running to my car saying she had found the keys left by vendor to open the patio door onto garden and getting me to go back in with her to finish the viewing completely. Georgia as well in the office like a breath of fresh air compared to other agents I’ve experienced from wilmslow to marple who don’t come close. 18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Neil has been sensational during the whole process, ensuring our application and move in went as smoothly as possible - to which I can confirm, it has been! We were updated through the whole process and he was happy to answer any additional questions we both had. All around the most stress free moving process I’ve been through. Thanks Neil! Highly recommend :)
5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
