11th Oct 2024 (18 weeks ago)I would like to pass on my thanks to Annie at the Didsbury branch for her help and advice when looking for both our new homes. She listens and empathises to our needs and comes up with possible properties and then always shows us around in a friendly, no pressure, very knowledgeable way. She is very organised, has attention to detail and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Buying a house is a very stressful and uncertain thing, and we do not often leave feedback, but I just wanted to pass on a recommendation for Annie at the Didsbury branch of Jordan Fishwick's help when finding your next home.

25th Oct 2024 (16 weeks ago)Rented with C&R Properties for 3 years, your very standard average estate agent where all they care about is your money and slow to sort out repairs. To secure our 2 bedroom flat for £900 a month in 2021, we needed the £1K deposit plus 3 months rent upfront PLUS a guarantor and employer references. We negotiated to 2 months rent upfront. No wonder we struggle with homelessness when the rental market is this screwed. All just for an average flat in an old council block. For moving day, they didn't even have our keys ready at the office. Some maintenance guy had them but was thankfully still in the county to drive into the office. This situation set the tone of what was to come. In 2021, our 2 bed flat was £900 a month. A year later, they tried to up it by another £200 a month. Negotiated to £150 instead. A year later, they tried to up it by another £200 a month and were refusing to give us a rolling contract at this point despite us regularly paying rent on time for 2 years. I think the landlord had different thoughts and the next thing we knew, we were thankfully granted a rolling contract and our rent only increased by £50 instead of £200 a month. We left our flat in better condition than how we recieved it. Got most of our deposit back besides from £35 which apparently went towards some crumbs on our bedside table.... They also accused us of rent arrears which was false. Always quick and so overly confident to accuse you of things when actually they're in the wrong. If you're not sharp about the processes and what you've signed up to, it would be easy to lose money that you wouldn't be entitled to give. Always negotiate, never accept what they're asking.
5th Feb 2025 (7 days ago)Maurice Kilbride provided an amazing service. From the first call they were very welcoming. I don’t think there was ever a time we rang them and they didn’t answer. Extremely helpful throughout. It seemed almost an impossible task to get our move completed before Christmas with not much time to spare but they worked tirelessly and managed to get it done which we are so grateful for. They really do go above and beyond and we can’t recommend them enough.

My mother wanted to sell her home but didn't want the stress, after her trying with an inferior estate agent, so she handed the sale over to me. I decided on Main and Main. We were dealt with professionally from the first visit right through the Conveyancing process and sale. When the house went live, we had viewings arranged within days and an offer made within a week. Cathy, Sam, Matt and Leila were always professional and friendly too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone selling their home.
27th Jan 2025 (16 days ago)From start to finish, the process of selling our house was a less stressful process due to the approachability and professionalism of the staff at Gascoigne Halman. We have to give out a special mention to Nicky who managed to keep our buyers onside and updated, whilst we looked for a property to buy. She then made sure we were able to complete on the sale and our purchase on the same day. Will definitely be recommending Gascoigne Halman to family and friends.

Jemima is our agent and she is truly outstanding!!! From initially listening so attentively to what we wanted, our time and budget restraints she went over and beyond and found us a beautiful property!! She demonstrates without a doubt that she truly wants to help and clearly cares about her clients!! Nothing is too much trouble, communication is superb and we really do feel we are in a “safe pair of hands” given how stressful the process can be!!! So far everything has been seamless and we look forward to the completion of our property and can confidently say, that Jemima will no doubt continue to be a huge support!!

31st Aug 2024 (24 weeks ago)First of all, when they got deposit money they never ring you back .they just making money on the holding fee for your reference check. They waste your time ,money and just give you headache. If there's is option of giving zero 0 star rating I would give that. Ridiculous people working over there they never rcv ur call. And after holding money they still viewing that property to other people. Scammers just making haram money.

18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

18th Dec 2024 (8 weeks ago)I recently had to sell mums house due to her going into care. It was the family home which she had lived in for 68 years so it was upsetting for all of us. I chose Locate because they are local and have a very good reputation and that reputation is justified. From the valuation to completion Kirsty and Jade did everything possible to make it as easy as they could for me. Communication was fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thank you Kirsty and Jade you made a difficult situation more bearable.
