15th Sep 2024 (19 days ago)I would not recommend Stapleton Long and would give zero stars. We rented from them for four years and finally moved out due to ongoing disrepair. Despite a persistent leak and flaking paint in one of the bedrooms, the landlords continued to band-aid the issue and, upon pushing for it to be properly addressed, they claimed the landlords had "spent a lot of money on the property and are reluctant to spend more." We lived with unsightly walls, damp from the leak and mould and unresolved problems for almost the entire tenancy. We were advised that our landlords owned multiple properties in the surrounding streets and they ‘kept our rent lower, because they were aware of some issues. Their other properties are rented for more.” This made it clear that Stapleton Long prioritises landlords' interests over tenants' and the landlords refused to fix these fundamental issues. After all the mental stress, anxiety, and even intimidation tactics (stating that, ‘as a gesture of good will, if we were unhappy, we could give 30 days notice to vacate’, which was clearly in their best interest, rather than ours), we had no choice but to leave. It's telling that after all this, they are now advertising the property as ‘recently refurbished’ for £400 per month more than we were paying. Avoid this estate agent if you value your peace of mind and well-being.

They were incredibly approachable, professional, helpful and held our hand through the entire process, as well as helping push our solicitors along to complete the sale. I felt they really looked after both me and my landlord in terms of our tenancy. It’s hard to find agencies that really care and I simply can’t recommend these guys enough!

8th Sep 2024 (26 days ago)I would highly recommend using the Balham branch of Hamptons if you are planning on renting your property. Ask for Joe Lewis. Unusually for an estate agent, Joe listens, cares about what’s important to you and was the only person to give me an accurate and honest appraisal of what my property was worth. Joe also made regular calls to update me on progress and went above and beyond to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. Thank you!
15th May 2024 (20 weeks ago)Absolutely appalling agency to deal with. A pure lack of transparency and a deviation from the terms and conditions associated with the holding deposit process. All my attempts to seek clarification or resolution have been met with silence from agency. Then at the end they tell me that they won’t return my holding deposit because I failed referencing, although they called me stating that the landlord rejected the proposal. I have escalated this to the PRS and will keep escalating and talking against this untrustworthy agency. Be careful of dealing with them!
23rd Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)We needed to sell our flat at Victoria Wharf. Karan had a wealth of experience with the development having sold her own properties there. Our apartment was put on the market quickly and the sales details attracted buyers very soon afterwards. We had a full asking price offer after 2 days. Although the sales process was slow due to circumstances outside Karan's control, she kept us updated and helped where possible. She was proactive, responsive and gave good advice throughout the process. We finally completed and were happy with our experience with Harry Harper Sales & Lettings

After trying three other estate agents with no success, Olivia found us a delightful young couple to buy our house and she kept with us despite various set backs right through to completion. One of the advantages of the way Laurels work is that it was Olivia who signed us up and showed the house and sorted out all the problems that beset the sale, which made it much easier for us to understand the progress being made, especially towards the end when we were abroad on holiday.
