10th Oct 2024 (7 mo. ago)I contacted Strutt & Parker in Exeter to sell my late parents home in Sidmouth. Isabel Clifton came and looked around the property, she was punctual and very professional with a friendly attitude. Isabel had a good grasp of the market and how to market the property in a difficult housing market. Isabel and her team provided good helpful advice and had an excellent knowledge of marketing our property. Their whole approach was professional, from valuing the property, to producing the particulars and photographs, to arranging the viewings and showing the potential purchasers around the property and achieving a good sale price that I was very happy with. I would highly recommend Isabel Clifton & her team if you are wishing to market a property. Robin Gabriel
22nd Apr 2025 (4 weeks ago)Recently exchanged on my Property with completion 7days from now…I only instructed Knight Frank in early January and anticipated period of the usual frustrations that go with ‘The Territory’ I was and am delighted that the stage I am at this early! Obviously you need The Property Gods to be in your Team and I feel that initially was the case however when turbulence occur as they Always do then the Professionalism of Agency is truly tested and in this regard KF we’re not found wanting! Their structure of Operation..the Personnel within that structure..Communication Skills…Proactive and Positive attitude..all in great supply when needed most.To Louise and her team at Exeter thank you..well done!!! A special thank you to Rachel Hancock out of Bristol who ‘Took on’ my House and in effect Nursed it from cradle to grave and drove forward any obstacle with great skill and determination. The house needed some work and the fact that both executors lived in London made things more difficult. Ben gave a fair idea of price and secured multiple viewings over several months in a difficult market. He was always honest in his feedback, keen to update us and absolutely determined to help us sell. We completed in October 2024. I cannot recommend him too highly.

31st Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of property searching as first time buyers and Connells have been great! Olivia has been super helpful when it comes to arranging viewing times that work for us and keeping us up to date if any other properties that match what we’re looking for come on the market. We have viewed a fair few different properties with multiple different estate agents both in England & Wales and have sometimes felt quite rushed in the past and a bit awkward like they wanna get you in & out as soon as possible but with Connells, we never feel that. Harrison has shown us a few different properties on different days and he’s great! He talks us through all the features of the properties, will thoroughly answer any questions we have about the properties and buying process, doesn’t rush us, gives us a chance to take a second look and makes the whole process just really chilled & stress free almost as if you’re viewing the properties with a mate. We’ve also seen a couple mortgage advisors both in England & Wales but hands down Rob is the best and someone who we’ll definitely be sticking with! We walked out of our first mortgage advisor meeting, looked at each other and both went “wow, he’s great, he genuinely cares” and it’s clear to see he really does care about helping his clients out to get them the best rates he can and to make the whole process as smooth as possible keeping us up to date throughout if possible lenders change etc. He’s extremely knowledgeable & informative when explaining everything from the rates to the process from start to end to ensure you know what is going on. No question is too big or small. Whether you’re a first time buyer or not, we’d recommend going with Connells Torquay to make the stressful property buying process much smoother all round! ??
6th May 2024 (1 year ago)John Couch and team where exceptional through-out our recent house sale. Nothing was too much trouble and we were kept well informed and well advised through out the process. The team’s professionalism, experience and friendly and prompt communication all helped to make a typically stressful experience so much less so. We felt in very good hands though-out and we can’t thank the team enough.

2nd Nov 2024 (6 mo. ago)Thank you to OLIVIA today who was very polite, anything that she was unsure of was noted down to find out (shared access path), respectful to us as viewers of the property but equally for the owners in terms of us taking our shoes off. Olivia showed us EVERYTHING from the access at the front to the parking around the back and even waited out in the cold for us to arrive, just in case we were unsure of the exact property as it was in a tucked away location. A BRILLIANT viewing on behalf of the owners and Chamberlains! Thank you again :)

6th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)If you are thinking of a house move, do not look any further than Gerald and Kim at Pincombes to assist you along the way. From start to finish, from the marketing, house viewings, and finally to completion they made sure I was kept up date and were always available at the end of the phone to answer any of my queries. However, at Pincombes you get a lot more than that….. You Get integrity and You Get Humour….! House moving can have its ups and downs and without fail the way in which Gerald and Kim handled situations is what made the difference. I cannot thank them enough for making the process as smooth as it could possibly be. Thank you both so much, Jo
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
