25th Nov 2019 (6 years ago)I first met Gareth of the Marshalswick Bradford and Howley branch when I was looking for somewhere to buy. He went out of his way to give me hints and tips about selling my place and buying - even though I was with another agent. The agent I was with made lots of errors and after the contracted time was over, I made the decision to sell with Bradford and Howley and 2 other agents. The other agents, despite all they promised, weren't able to bring many people round to view and I soon made the decision to go sole agent with Bradford and Howley. Unfortunately the market was very slow and after so much time on the market, the house was not easy to sell. The team at Marshalswick stuck with it though and kept up momentum keeping bringing prospective buyers round, despite me feeling quite down hearted. When we finally achieved a sale, the team in St Albans took over and the sale was finalised. Both Marshalswick and St Albans were friendly and approachable and didn't ever mind me asking questions, giving me reassurance etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending them or in using them again.

2nd Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)I don't feel they really put any effort into trying to sell our property. The quality of the pictures and listing was not up to scratch. We had to chase for information a lot. I regret choosing them.

Jeff was very quick to respond to questions and kept us informed all the way through the sale! The whole process from start to finish only took 9 weeks! We went with the suggested Conveyancer (Premier Property Limited) who were also very profressional. We would definitely recommend them as an agent. Thanks for such great service with a smile!

13th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)Just awful. Very friendly when I walked in to their office to ask for a valuation of my property in anticipation of selling. After that it was just all downhill. Zero communication from that point. Agent who came to do the valuation arrived late (no apology), whizzed around the house in 5 minutes to then tell me that it was completely as he had expected (why bother coming at all then), gave me a verbal valuation and then nothing was ever heard from the agent again. There are 10 physical estate agents to choose from in Harpenden. This should be your tenth choice, or lower if you want to use the online agents instead.
