HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AS A BUYER - AVOID HAMPTONS!??<br><br>Called their Blackheath office to book a viewing to see Masons Hill, Woolwich.<br><br>We agreed to view on 4 Saturday July at 11:15 a.m but Susan called later and told me she couldn't accommodate me at 11.15am. I explained to her that I have many viewings lined up the next two Saturdays as I live far and I cannot come in earlier or attend during weekdays.<br><br>I explained that I am a full cash buyer. Later, the woman said you're not special. We have many fully cash buyers. Needless to say fully cash buyers, no mortgage is actually rare so Susan is being deceitful and is not operating in line with the Ombudsman Code of Conduct and have reported this to the Ombudsman.<br><br>Susan was rude, obnoxious and unpleasant to deal with. Rather than being or taking the sympathetic approach, she takes the direct and rude approach.<br><br>Horrendous experience as a prospective full cash buyer and have second thoughts on viewing properties with Hamptons.
14th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)From the first meeting with Lucy, when she came to value our property, I knew we were on the same wavelength.<br>It wasn't an easy sale for a variety of reasons, but all the way through, until completion and beyond, the whole team were supportive, helpful, friendly and very professional.<br>Read their brochure and compare it to other agents.<br>Most agents are we, we, we.<br>Putterills is you, you, you.<br>As a buyer or a seller they are there for their clients, first and foremost, and I thank them all for their help.
11th Jul 2026 (10 weeks ago)We had scheduled a viewing appointment for a property in Auchterarder, the agent called us on a No Caller Id number to say they would be late. We adjusted our schedule to accommodate. When we arrived at the property at the then agreed time and the agent was nowhere to be seen. We couldn’t call their number back and the office number went straight to voice mail. After waiting for 15 minutes they called us back and said they were at a different property, and misunderstood the visit we had agreed to visit and they did not have the keys. Pretty disappointing organisation given that they knew we were leaving the next morning. Make sure you double check all the details yourself if you’re going to work with this company.

"oh, we had one viewer at the weekend, think he's going to make an offer, don't think you'll be able to view it - we'll let you know". They really said this! I'm glad I'm not the Vendor.

David and his team were exceptional from start to finish and would like to say a big thank you for not only selling our property but also finding us the house we needed to hopefully get our eldest into Simon Balle Secondary School! 2nd Sep 2026 (15 days ago)letting agency should accept a provisional driving licence as a bank or any other government agency accepts this so if you can not do that you should close down as a letting agent as Know Your Customer under financial law accepts provisional licence if the customer has no other means of photographic I.D, anyway this is going to everyone of you in the uk as they are all the same, mabe i should expand my business to cover this field as i know a lot of people in this situation and that is why their are lot of people who can not find a sub let as i call them

28th Aug 2026 (20 days ago)My brother died last year. I am his principal executor. This involved selling his house in St Albans to pay his legacies. But I live in Scotland. My solicitor recommended Paul Barker. I am so pleased she did. My brother had not been able to keep the house in good decorative order so it was a challenge to sell. Paul and his delightful team took control of the whole process, marketing, viewings, remedial works which became necessary, offers and negotiations around them and clinching the final deal. At every stage, I was kept informed and given clear options and recommendations. I was always confident that the best was being done without my presence. The business deserves to prosper.

We were recommended BR by a friend, and from the very beginning Chris (and later Aidan) were an absolute breath of fresh air. Professional, personable, proactive and, importantly, realistic from the get-go.<br><br>We sold relatively quickly, but the sale itself became particularly stressful, and throughout the whole process both Chris and Aidan were incredibly supportive and always on hand when I needed them. They genuinely went above and beyond and made a difficult process that little bit easier.<br><br>I’m so glad we chose BR to sell our home and I honestly cannot recommend Chris and Aidan highly enough.
