We are so happy to have chosen Savilles to rent with, Simone and Faye have been extremely helpful, supportive and quick with responding to our emails and phone calls. We would definitely recommend working with Savilles both as tenant and landlord as we can see they really pay respect to both sides. Thank you!... Read more

What a shame. Original five-star review below. Not any more. Savills will introduce a groundless claim to your landlord for withholding your deposit. Savills will then support the landlord's groundless claim to keep your cash. The excellent work of Simone and Holly (see below) was profoundly undermined by the property management team which at the end of a tenancy works with your landlord to find reasons not to return your deposit. When moving, you do not need the additional stress involved in utterly avoidable battles with a faceless suit, to prevent them from withholding your cash. I challenged three claims to withhold deposit from my last letting. The groundless nature of these was clearly illustrated by the speed that Savills capitulated and returned my money. Makes me wonder how many people cave, and the thousands lost each year to tenants as a result...? Following Savills engagement with this review, they stuck hard to their guns, blaming any desire to withhold deposit on the landlord, suggesting that they did not make any suggestion to landlords of for what they may be able to withhold deposit or how much. I was not convinced. They also defended the inflated prices they attempted to charge, claiming they follow industry standards. By way of example, they will attempt to charge you £65 if they think the washing machine smells a bit funny. (For the record it didn't.) Savills is clearly willing to sacrifice its reputation in support of landlords' groundless claims to withhold your deposits. Fairs fair, however, up until the end of the tenancy, they were very good.... Here's what I wrote at the beginning: Helpful, knowledgable, efficient. For what more could you ask when renting a new place? Special mention to Simone McClellan and Holly Siddons for enabling a very rapid and smooth transition to my new home!... Read more

Westley, Michael and the rest of the team were great through the whole process. The pictures and marketing were excellent, and selling on a road with several other similar properties. We were the only one on the road to sell, and achieved the highest price on the street which is testament to the teams work. Very happy in our new home and with the service provided. Would recommend to anyone selling their home.... Read more

I have been using the team at Welwyn for a number of years to rent out and manage my properties and I have found the team led by Stephen to be extremely professional. Inevitably tenant issues do turn up from time to time and these have always been dealt with in a very efficient manner. I would definitely recommend!... Read more

After previously giving a 5 star review I unfortunately need to amend this to 1 star. Very unprofessional company. I was not allowed to view the property prior to moving in as they "couldn't find the keys". After moving out and handing my keys in they managed to lose the keys and tell me I hadn't handed them in, yet they have dated a report done on the property prior to them finding the keys (yet when I ask about this I am ignored). Upon moving in to the property the Carpets in the bedroom and living room had paint splatters and burn marks over them (this was not shown on the photos, I believe old photos of the property were used on the listing). There were yellow stains on the bathroom floor, a light fitting in the kitchen that was damaged and hanging loose, it had been pushed back into place using double sided tape to hide the damage but just dropped back down (this was reported on day one and not fixed during my whole eight month tenancy), again not shown on the listing. I was left without hot water and heating for two weeks due to nobody knowing how to operate the heating system. I was left two weeks not being able to wash any clothing due to the washing machine being clogged up and not releasing water when I first moved in and had to wait for a contractor to come out (who only worked Saturdays). When I moved in there was what appeared to be grout, that had been dropped on the heated towel rail in the bathroom, I have a photo of this the day I moved in, yet they are now trying to charge me for this and claiming it is damage, not that their contractor are poor decorators. Both the kitchen sink and the bath were clogged when I moved in and did not drain water and I was asked to pay for unclogging them myself, which I did. After just over a month in the property the air conditioning until started displaying an error message saying it was working at 54%, this was reported and after a month, nothing had been arranged, I asked for this to be postponed from Dec to mid Jan due to covid, yet this was not done in mid Jan and another seven months later when I moved out they still hadn't serviced it. I had no working key for the rear door to the property for months on end, the intercom repeatedly broke, the back door repeatedly broke. Although I have photos of the property being spotless when I moved out and have been supplied to them, they are now trying to charge me cleaning costs for "debris", which from their photos appears to be dust, they do not seem to understand that if they leave a property empty dust is going to fall, especially with an air-conditioning until that has not been serviced. They also are attempting to charge for damage to a door that they claim was done by "opening and closing the door". So be careful not to use doors in rented properties. After a few weeks of phone calls to them at the beginning of the tenancy to advise of further damage I had noticed, I was repeatedly told "don't worry, it is only minor so we don't need it to be listed", yet at the end of the tenancy they are trying to charge me for dust. If you rent with this company I would advise taking hundreds of photographs when moving in. When you are met at the property by the contractor who has done his own report of damage, I would advise not signing this off until you have been around every inch of the property. The report the contractor does should actually done with the tenant, so damage they have missed can be pointed out. Do not be naïve as I was and think that the Estate Agents are professionals and will not try and scam you out of money.... Read more

I recently sold my house through Wrights. Right from my first meeting with Salvatore and his colleagues, Natalija and Tina, I knew they were the agents for me. I followed their suggested selling price and I had an offer within 14 days of going to market. All three looked after my sale and kept me fully informed of progress with regards to solicitors and other agents on a regular basis. The sale was kept fully managed, so that issues were tackled immediately and proceeded smoothly. I can genuinely say that I couldn’t be happier with the service received. Highly recommended, thanks everyone!... Read more

Honestly disgusted with the level of service from this agency. They are unprofessional in dealing and treat you awfully. We were tenants for 5 years with them and never gave any trouble. Payed our rent on time and looked after both the properties we ended up renting through them. For some reason they getting email addresses incorrect constantly and even though these were corrected several times they never seemed to be able to use the correct ones. Even when I used the email address to contact them and had several telephone conversations telling them to correct the details. I was overly accommodating with allowing viewings of the property to take place when I didn't have to be. They arranged viewings and would not pitch up for the appointments not bothering to tell me they had been cancelled also not bothering to confirm appointments and then just arriving at the property expecting me to accommodate them which I always did. In the end when we needed 5 extra days in the property as we were waiting completion of our home we purchased they we unaccommodating and unhelpful. Never getting back to us. I can't express more how disgusted and disappointed I am after being great tennants for so long. Avoid using them if you can.... Read more

This was the easiest house sale I’ve experienced. Everything was effortless. Eric is passionate about his job and takes the time to know his clients, which gives him a keen sense of who might actually want to buy your property. My house was photographed and sold within a week, in fact it sold after the first day of viewings-with all the viewers putting in an offer. Eric Is unlike pretty much every single estate agent I’ve ever met; he’s honest, exceptional at his job, responsive, and is great at looking after all of the details involved in a move. Clearly I’d recommend using him to sell your house or to find you the house of your dreams.... Read more

Lovely, sending offers to help sell the house I have rented from another agent for 8 years. So as long as you get a sale in, you're happy to risk potential upheaval for the tenant. A little insensitive, don't you think? Please do your homework and stop addressing your mail to properties that are being let out, and stop paying royal mail to get around being considered as "junk mail." It's still unsolicited mail when you don't even know the name of the person you're sending it to.... Read more
