16th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Worst company imaginable. Gave us misinformation for over six months regarding entry dates and also told us development was finished when it was not. Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.

7th Jan 2026 (9 mo. ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

28th Dec 2023 (2 years ago)Had problems getting through to my team initially as messages went awry. I went up to Musselburgh and spoke directly to Cherese and everything went smoothly after that. Lina then came onboard and negotiated a fair price on the property I wanted. The score then went to good communication.

Their comprehensive support alleviated any concerns I might have had. The team's friendly and helpful approach, coupled with their outstanding customer service, was truly commendable. Their profound knowledge of the market and strategic application of various techniques ensured the attraction of suitable prospective buyers. Despite the inherently stressful nature of the process, their involvement significantly eased my burden. Therefore, a massive thank you to Adrian King and his fantastic team up in Dunfermline branch! Going forward with the house sale, Robert couldn't have been better, keeping me updated throughout the whole process, it was outstanding service and second to none. Thanks to the experience I received from Drummond Miller through Robert, I intend to use them again very soon when I sell my parents' house. Highly recommend without reservation
11th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)Not great - would not use again. Did nothing to find interested parties in first few weeks until I had to call a senior team member to complain... Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.
17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)As a healthcare professional moving to the Scottish Borders to support the local community, I expected a basic level of professionalism from Edwin Thompson. Instead, they completely wasted our family's time. We were asked to submit a detailed application form with sensitive personal details on 2nd September just to secure a property viewing. After taking our data, they went completely silent. I followed up via email on 9th September asking for an update, but received absolutely no response from Molly. It is entirely unprofessional to harvest personal data from busy professionals relocating to the area and then completely ignore them.
6th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)Unfortunately, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very disappointing, mainly because of poor communication and a lack of professionalism throughout the process.<br>Before our house was put on the market, Amanda was very confident that she could achieve a certain price for our property. However, our first concern was when the photos were taken using a phone rather than professional camera equipment. Although phone cameras are good these days, the photos did not have the quality we expected for selling a property. When the advert went live, there were too many photos, and some did not show the house in the best way.<br><br>The biggest problem for us was communication. After the first week, it became difficult to get updates. There were very few viewings, and things did not improve while we were with them. Calls often went unanswered, and promised call-backs rarely happened. We often felt like we were chasing them for information rather than being kept updated.<br><br>After around three weeks of frustration, we decided to end our agreement with them. What disappointed us most was that there was no real effort to understand why we wanted to leave. We were simply asked to pay the marketing fee so the property could be taken off the market. Once we paid, the only reply we received was confirmation of payment and a short “good luck” message.<br>After this, I noticed I had been blocked on WhatsApp and social media. I also emailed about removing the “For Sale” sign but received no reply or confirmation that this had been arranged.<br><br>Overall, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very poor. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend them to others. I conducted the viewings myself with the help of a family friend but Urquharts made the appointments while consulting with us over our availability. Faked the inventory report when I moved in, everything is a mess when I moved in.
4th Aug 2025 (1 year ago)Selling our home with NEST in Falkirk was a great experience, we’d gladly recommend them. From the outset, communication was prompt, clear, and consistent, and we were kept well informed throughout the entire process. They were always at hand by phone and email. The local office very useful to be able to pop in when needed. Our first meeting with Lyndsay was for the valuation. It was far more than just putting a price on the property, she took the time to understand our needs and provided thoughtful, informed advice about the process ahead. Her approach struck a balance between profession and a personal touch. Elaine was equally helpful, always quick to respond and offer reassurance when needed. With young children and pets, coordinating viewings could have been challenging, but the team made it easy. They worked with us to create a schedule that suited our routines and always provided plenty of notice. The photos and floorplan were handled by a professional photographer who did an excellent job with both the photography and floorplan. We were very pleased with how the property was presented. Communication was one of the standout aspects of the experience. We received regular updates on viewings, and all materials were reviewed with us first. The team were considerate in choosing how to communicate, using email when appropriate and picking up the phone when needed. They liaised efficiently with all parties involved and helped ensure a smooth process. Most importantly, we felt genuinely supported by a team that listened, guided us thoughtfully, and remained fully engaged from start to finish. No impersonal web portal, just real people, ready to help. The house sold quickly, and we couldn’t be happier with the way NEST handled the sale.

25th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)We sold our flat through Coulters in 2026 and had a fantastic experience with the company, and everyone we engaged with in the valuation and selling teams. Coulters helped us get ready for the sale, arranging photography and sales brochures, which came out really well thanks to lots of guidance from their side. After we got our sales particulars ready, it took us a while to make the decision that we were ready to put our flat on the market, but Coulters put no pressure on us over that period of time, and instead continued to advise us and discuss our sales strategy, including when might be the optimal time to put our property on the market, so we can be in a position to buy a new property with a minimal chain/not having to rent in between. Our main contact at Coulters was Francesca Hill who supported us from the first time of reaching out to Coulters, up to the point of unpacking boxes in our new home. Francesca's advice throughout the whole process was truly invaluable, especially in the highly competitive property market in Edinburgh, and we appreciated how professional, experienced and constructive Francesca was. Selling/buying a new home is stressful, but doing it with someone like Francesca on the other end of a phone/email really makes a huge difference.

From my first meeting with Lewis Hunter and my early contact with Suzie Steenkamp, I felt completely at ease and confident moving forward. A special mention goes to Rhonda Gunn, my Property Sales Negotiator, who was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She communicated with me quickly and consistently—often daily—and always kept me fully updated. Thanks to the team’s hard work, I had a high number of viewings and even received an early offer. A huge thank you to the whole Neilson’s team for making the experience smooth, supportive, and successful.

In the time I have known her, her knowledge of the premium market, including unique and prestigious homes, is second to none. She understands what is required to sell a unique home in a way that I have not seen in many of her peers who seem to take more of a cookie cutter approach.<br><br>Professional, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marie and Wilson Property Group to anyone looking to sell a special property, or any property for that matter.
