They ensured that all the legal procedures were completed exactly when they needed to be, keeping the entire process moving seamlessly. Thanks to their efficiency and proactive approach, everything was perfectly aligned on completion day and we managed to get the keys for our new house first thing in the morning! Moving can be incredibly stressful, but Connor malcolm Solicitors excellent timing and professionalism gave us complete peace of mind. We highly recommend his services!
19th Sep 2024 (1 year ago)Really poor experience of being a buyer through Remax, the house purchased was not as described or accurate according to Home Report. On entry to our home, no message to wish us all the best, no hot water, all the heating needing changed and based on the description was disgraceful. We asked questions at the viewing and told all was working and there hadn't been a leak which there had and now having to pay £10k on heating which was reflected as a '1' on the home report. TBH I don't think they asked the sellers any real questions and just marketed, took the money and moved on.

22nd Sep 2024 (1 year ago)We chose Gillespie Macandrew because we wanted the whole selling process (including the calculation of capital gains tax) to be under one roof. Gillespie Macandrew more than lived up to our expectations. The marketing, conveyancing and capital gains processes were all sequentially and logically implemented and there was always someone on hand to answer our questions. The stress involved in selling a property was greatly reduced, the sale went smoothly and efficiently, and we received a price well above the valuation.- 2nd Sep 2025 (10 mo. ago)I previously had dealings with Fraser Brooks during our property purchase, as they were representing the sellers. Although they were not acting on my behalf, I found the experience with them to be disappointing. Communication was often curt and, at times, came across as rude, which made an already stressful process much more difficult. From my perspective, the level of professionalism fell short of what I would expect from a firm of solicitors. While they may have fulfilled their role for their own clients, the manner in which they engaged with others involved in the transaction was poor and unhelpful. A prime example of this lack of professionalism is when I went to collect my keys. I had purposely gone after the lunch hour to avoid waiting about (the office is in city centre so parking is a nightmare) as I had been told multiple times lunch was 12-1. I was waiting outside the office for 25 minutes. Tried to phone them multiple times. No response. After 25 minutes at 13:25 the gentleman came strolling back in. No apologies for being late or keeping me waiting. When I queried about why he had been so late to return back to work he proceeded to become stand offish and rude. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident recommending this firm

Having always lived in England, we were daunted by the thought of a very different property market in Scotland but we were helped on every step of the way. Claire C was our initial contact and was so patient and supportive, explaining the system and nothing was too much trouble. Once we found a property to buy, Claire S was our solicitor. Again, she was patient, understanding and so helpful as well as being efficient, timely and diligent with all the legal work. She kept us well informed and involved at every step. We also had a lot of help and support from Suzie and Sheila, plus other members of the team. We are very grateful to them all and highly recommend Neilsons.

My brother would like to add he appreciated the efforts that Rico took to keep us informed updated and that if he couldn’t contact us by phone and updated email would arrive. All in all first class service thank you Rico ??????????
