19th Sep 2024 (1 year ago)Really poor experience of being a buyer through Remax, the house purchased was not as described or accurate according to Home Report. On entry to our home, no message to wish us all the best, no hot water, all the heating needing changed and based on the description was disgraceful. We asked questions at the viewing and told all was working and there hadn't been a leak which there had and now having to pay £10k on heating which was reflected as a '1' on the home report. TBH I don't think they asked the sellers any real questions and just marketed, took the money and moved on.

24th Oct 2025 (9 mo. ago)I have dealt with this solicitor and property agents since 1985. They are the most professional, thorough and efficient company that i have ever had dealings with in my whole life. I have bought and sold 7 properties for myself, 1 property for my mother and 1 property for my son. The property front office run by Carolyn McLaughlin and her colleagues always marketed my properties extremely well which in turn led to most of them being sold in under a month. In relation to my solicitor Mr David Vause, he is the ultimate professional in his field. David was always able to resolve any issues quickly and move transactions forward . I was able to converse with him over the phone or by email when i needed to. On the 22nd of October i popped in to the office to pick up deeds wills and other business letters to pass on to a new solicitor in Ellon. Envelope with these documents were left at reception for me to pick up and sign for. However David came down and we had a long chat about our interactions over last 40 years. What an absolute gentleman and ultimate professional.

Their comprehensive support alleviated any concerns I might have had. The team's friendly and helpful approach, coupled with their outstanding customer service, was truly commendable. Their profound knowledge of the market and strategic application of various techniques ensured the attraction of suitable prospective buyers. Despite the inherently stressful nature of the process, their involvement significantly eased my burden. Therefore, a massive thank you to Adrian King and his fantastic team up in Dunfermline branch! They used a mix of Telephone and email which was perfect for a busy person like myself. Valuation was accurate and there was plenty footfall in the property to see it go under offer. Great value for money and would recommend.
6th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back
25th Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)We have been absolutely delighted with the service we received from Vivien and her colleagues at Galbraiths in Ayr which totally exceeded our expectations in every way. Vivien looked after us flawlessly from start to finish, with daily phone calls and endless charm and enthusiasm. Our farm and land were beautifully marketed, the photos and drone footage were superb and marketing reached far and wide. We received numerous viewers and sold the property promptly at a good price. The personal, friendly and professional service was so reassuring as Vivien helped and advised at every stage of the process and spent as much time as we needed to ensure a seamless sale. We cannot thank Vivien and Galbraiths enough and would definitely recommend to other sellers for a top class, personalised sales experience.

27th Mar 2026 (18 weeks ago)Kenny was so helpful and empathetic to the fact I was selling my mums house who died recently. He immediately made me feel confident I had chosen the right person. The house was sold in 5 days for the valuation price which was fantastic. He was able to tell me a bit about the family buying the house and it was so comforting for myself and my sister to know it was going to a family who immediately fell in love with the house and were so excited to bring their family up there as mum and dad had done with us. I would highly recommend Kenny and the company to anyone. Thank you so much

They were extremely responsive when we asked questions and happy to explain any questions we may have. We also used them for our Will and we had the same, pleasure experience. Highly recommended.

From the start he felt like the right fit for us, easy to chat to and clearly knew his stuff. He took the time to understand what the place meant to us and personally guided us through everything without it ever feeling stressful. When it came to offers his advice was spot on and definitely helped us get the result we wanted. Throughout the whole process, it never felt like things were happening to us, we always felt part of it and in control.
