2nd Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)House moves are generally stressful and prone to all sorts of problems and our latest, moving from Dorset to Devon has been no exception. Briefly we pulled out of a purchase and didn't want to lose our buyers so decided to rent for a few months, something we haven't done in years. We checked out some properties and then contacted Colwills about one that had just appeared on Right Move. From the start the whole process was handled in an efficient, friendly and relaxed manner. I can't speak highly enough of the people working at the firm. The whole transaction ran on rails and what could have added unwelcome extra anxiety proved to be the polar opposite. Top effort and highly recommended. PS as a sideline they can even direct you to the best pasty shop in Bude. :-)

14th Oct 2022 (1 year ago)We have recently sold our property through Kivells and overall have been very happy with the service offered by everyone at Kivells. Our initial contact was with Dan who provided us with a very comprehensive written review of the market in order to explain the proposed marketing price for the house. No other agent provided such a clear explanation. For the viewings it was Katie and Mark and again we were impressed by their knowledge of our home and the time they were willing to give to show prospective buyers around and answer their questions. Katie’s enthusiasm for our house was definitely contagious and we are sure this rubbed off on people as she showed them around. Communication from the whole team, including Jack and Katrina was excellent and Sharron has also been very helpful as we have progressed towards exchange of contracts. Thank you very much.

They have been friendly, polite, professional and more than helpful in dealing with us and our elderly mother. Thank you both and all the team. 8th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

25th Jan 2024 (13 weeks ago)Mark Kivell and his team, were brilliant from the beginning to the end whilst dealing with the sale of our Orchard and business. The initial valuation was very professional, yet friendly, and the fact that he had previously sold an Orchard a few years ago, to the fantastic drone footage, and feedback from him as well as his wonderful team. Even in these financially hard times, they achieved an above asking price offer, which proceeded very smoothly to the end. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, all.
29th Oct 2023 (25 weeks ago)Cannot fault Stags from the moment of putting the property on the market to completion. We were kept informed every step of the way from viewings to offers and were always given good advice. Stags were willing to go the extra mile by checking on the property as we live some hours away and they even did the final meter readings for us - most appreciated! The staff were always welcoming whether in person or over the phone and we would highly recommend them.
