23rd Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.

2nd Dec 2025 (9 mo. ago)Awful service. Had to take several attempts to get photographs right and then proceeded to gossip to our neighbours about our personal moving plans. Very unprofessional and a serious breach of client confidentiality. Avoid unless you want your personal plans revealing to your entire local area.

18th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)Nev originally sold the property to my mother, and we were very impressed with him at the time. When she unfortunately passed away and the time came to sell the property, I knew immediately that I wanted Nev to handle the sale again.<br><br>Throughout the process he was extremely professional, but also very personable and supportive. He was realistic and honest about the valuation, and I never felt under any pressure to accept offers that were too low. I always felt that he was genuinely acting in my best interests.<br><br>What really set Nev apart was how often he went above and beyond what I would normally expect from an estate agent. As I lived some distance from the property, this was particularly appreciated. He introduced me to someone who had recently moved to the country and was interested in buying some of the furniture, helped broker the sale of other furniture to another party, and even personally cut the grass when it became too long.<br><br>He was proactive throughout the sale, always on top of what was happening and constantly working to keep things moving forward. He also dealt very professionally with solicitors and others in the chain, including during some particularly difficult situations.<br><br>Nev was an exceptional estate agent, but in truth he became much more than that during the process. He was an ally and a genuine source of support at what was a very difficult time following my mother's death. His professionalism, honesty, kindness and willingness to go the extra mile made a huge difference to me.<br><br>I would not hesitate to recommend Nev to anyone looking to sell a property. He truly is exceptional at what he does, and I am extremely grateful for all of his help and support. If I could give 6 stars, I would.
22nd Jul 2024 (2 years ago)I have dealt with thomlinsons for nearly 13 years and have always found the staff to be friendly if I had any issues they were dealt with as soon as they could I have mostly dealt with Jane Bruce at wetherby what a lovely lady Jane is my emails and calls were always replied to as soon as possible I have not ever not had a response Jane is knowledgeable on all aspects of housing matters and is a kind caring lady I would not hesitate to use thomlinsons again

6th Sep 2026 (21 days ago)Avoid this company they made buying our first home an awful experience. I’d especially advise you to avoid Susie Ralston and Paul Howell. Told me the role as an estate agent is to list and sell a property and any chasing of a chain is simply a good will gesture and falls outside of the estate agent’s ethics.<br>They had the audacity to advise thier contact log showed 32 contact points since April. Yes 32 times I had to chase and ask for updates to which I was met with nothing meaningful and to contact my solicitor. They also had the cheek to say I knew the vendors daughter in law so I had updates from them - shouldn’t have to justify I know sometime from a school run not personally as a friend.<br>Ignored my complaint request for compensation.<br>Property onbudsman is my next step.
15th May 2026 (19 weeks ago)Although we haven't quite reached the exchanging contracts stage of our house sale, it's worth commenting on the service we've received up to this point. Enfields have delivered a highly professional experience from start to finish. Granted there was a slight delay in the production of our brochures but other than that small matter, we've been super happy with how we've been looked after by the team. Frank and honest conversations at the start of the process about expectations and the reality of the market, great advice on the approach to take, a fun day of staging and photos (with some fabulous results). Then, from the moment we went 'live', Joanne has been great at liaising with us at every step to update on viewings, feedback, and now the particulars of the sale. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a highly professional and credible agency run by people who truly care.

11th Sep 2024 (2 years ago)From start to finish the experience of purplebricks was terrible and more stressful than the process demands. They used a cut and paste description of the property that was completely false and uninformative, alongside photos that were missing to cover the rooms properly. This meant we had to write the description and take our own pictures despite us having paid for them to perform this service. Once the house finally went live onto the portal they had it listed over the value we had agreed. Purplebricks were not helpful in getting feedback after viewings and a key issue is that the portal does not allow to block out days on the calendar. This meant that we were getting viewing requests when we were on holiday that we were unable to rearrange. I would not recommend to anyone looking to sell, the cost saving of using this provider is reflected in their disinterest in proactively marketing and selling your property as they have already been paid.
