11th Mar 2023 (1 year ago)Just completed this sale of my father-in-law's house. We were keen to use an agent with local knowledge and I'm very pleased we chose Alan Cooke Sales and Lettings. We received excellent advice on how to aproach the sale and the marketing was exceptional. As a result, we received a large number of offers very quickly. We then received detailed advice on the benefits and risks of each offer and the associated chain. We chose an offer that was most likely to complete and the whole process of marketing and conveyancing was wrapped up in just over three months. Very happy with the sale price and the agents fees. I'd reccomend Jonny and Elissia to anyone looking to sell in North Leeds.

3rd Apr 2024 (21 days ago)Viewed a property and kept up to date with them had to chase them for an answer. I called back several times talked to people who apparently, didn't have a clue. Got an answer on my 5th call to be told they "unfortunately had accepted another offer. If I'd called sooner I'd of been accepted." ?????????.untrustworthy and a complete waste of time.

28th Mar 2024 (27 days ago)Recently I enquired about rentals and Ms Chele was very Profesional ON THE PHONE from day 1, conversation to visiting the office for bookings. Dressed very smart ,office dress code every time I visit the office superb, with of course a beautiful smile all the time. She appears to be of great high Quality experience like her other manager Demi from Care 4 Properties. Chile is not only knowledgeable and proactive, but she is also proficient and solutions driven.i viewed few rentals and with few minutes ,all application forms were on my emails and responsive was fantastic.I would highly recommend Chele to any other person endeavouring to rentals.

Our year of renting through Cornerstone has been remarkably smooth, characterized by quick - if not same-day - repairs and maintenance. It's been an entirely hassle-free experience.

3rd Apr 2024 (21 days ago)Had a really disappointing experience today with William H Brown in Headingley. Yesterday, my partner and I rang about a flat that we both absolutely loved the look of , situated in the city centre. The lady that we spoke to yesterday was friendly and helpful and booked us in to view the flat this afternoon at 14:40. She emphasised that this would be provisionally booked as they had not been able to get in touch with the current tenants; which we completely understood. It reached dinner time today and we had not had any form of communication from William H Brown so presumed that our viewing was still to go ahead. My partner rang and a different lady from the one we spoke to yesterday answered. She said that they had not been able to get in touch with the current tenants again; which again we completely understand that this is out of the control of William H Brown. However, the lady proceeded to say that if we did not hear from William H Brown later in the day to presume that the viewing would not be going ahead. The problem we have with this is that firstly a call from William H Brown would have been appreciated to let us know that they were unsure whether the viewing would go ahead earlier in the day as if we would not have called William H Brown ourselves we would have gone to the viewing assuming it was still going ahead. There was no appreciation of William H Brown of how long it would take us to get to the flat we were going to view from our current address; the assumption was just that we lived not far from the city centre. Basically, we have just been sat in limbo waiting to see whether our viewing was still going to go ahead. Luckily, we are both teachers and it is half term otherwise we would not have had the luxury to sit waiting around all day!! Finally, a call to say that they would arrange another viewing would have been appreciated. This has left us feeling not valued and not wanting to view any further flats with William H Brown. Very poor communication and frankly a waste of our time!

4th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Manning Stainton were ok, but not great. They carried out all of the viewings for me, which was good, and I’d accepted an offer within a couple of weeks, which was also good. But I’d have liked a bit more proactivity from them in watching the market between me agreeing to sell with them and the sale going live - that was something I ended up doing myself. Some of the updates they gave me were inaccurate, which added to my stress levels. At times, after I’d accepted an offer, it felt as though they had forgotten that I was their client (rather than the buyer). On more than one occasion they updated me on what I had done/what my solicitors had done (which I already knew!), rather than on what the buyer/their solicitors had done (which would have been far more helpful).
23rd Jan 2024 (13 weeks ago)We’ve taken a little while to settle into our new home before making this review, As we wanted to make a true and honest review of our experience and how we felt. We went to Abbotts in Cromer to see a mortgage advisor and look at a property we fell in love with on right move. Our mortgage advisor Adam, was amazing. We were shown round by Simon and we loved it. So we put in an offer. This was accepted and the ball got rolling. We then found the communication with abbots go downhill. When we called we were always told they would call us back the same day however each time it was usually about 5 days later and after we already found out the information ourselves from calling the solicitor. So it seemed they were always one step behind. We found this to be annoying and thought maybe this was happening to us because we are first time buyers and we “don’t know any better” but this is just our theory. We were disappointed that the communication broke down. We ended up going through our mortgage advisor for everything instead of the estate agents as we got answers quicker and more efficiently. We would like to thank Adam and Olly at Country wide for going above and beyond for us. We really do think if we would’ve pulled out if it wasn’t for them! On completion day we had to remind them to give us the code to the back door so we could enter our property…as they said Watsons had our front door keys. When we went there they didn’t so it sent us on a wild goose chase to try and find the front door key to the flat building. We were given a number for us to call to organise ourselves to find the keys, which in our opinion this should have been sorted out in day of completion by them. Overall, we are happy we are finally in our home. We wouldn’t use abbots again. I know some people probably have a better experience with them but we unfortunately didn’t. We encourage any first time buyers to look about and ask about the best estate agents etc as we didn’t and we ended up regretting
17th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Terrible estate agents! Preys on the poor by providing shoddy and in many circumstances illegal places to live (no running water, black mould problems, unclean communal areas) and then refuses deposits back when tennants no longer want to reside! I would stay clear.
8th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Please Please Please Stay away from this agency This is the worst agency in leeds Worst agency in england Worst agency in uk Worst agency in whole world Worst agency in whole universe Worst agency among all galaxies First they showed all worst properties Then they fooled us with money first told 1100 for apartment then increased the price to 1500 during contract They repairing management is utterly disgusting Never available on emails or on call They ask us to complaint on website After complaining no reply Sadly we went to leeds city council to complain against them and now they came next morning Did not do any repairing in 10 months even though we complained them for almost 7 or 8 months straight Did not helped even after our housemate got hospitalised after mould allergy Even after health and safety did not attended our complaints After reading this review if you choose this agency then u r the biggest fool sorry mate

Chris always get back to you when he says he will and payments are always made on time. All office staff are very friendly. Great company to work along side.

Dealing with Gemma and Rachel on almost a daily basis with updates has been far from a chore and any question gets answered quickly. After listening to Gemma’s sound advice my property had an offer to let very quickly after it went live.
