15th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would advise extreme caution to anyone buying a property through Roger Dean Estate Agents. My experience revealed a deeply concerning lack of professional integrity and fair dealing. During my attempted purchase, the agency instituted a strict "Best and Final Offer" process. However, immediately after I submitted my final bid, the agent (Grace Lees) contacted me to solicit an additional £10,000. When I refused, the agent admitted in the same phone call that she had already been instructed by the vendor to accept my original offer if I declined the increase. I escalated this conduct to The Property Ombudsman (TPO). Following a formal investigation, the Ombudsman’s written findings confirmed that these specific events and manipulative negotiation tactics occurred exactly as I described them. If you are a buyer dealing with this agency, be fully aware that their "deadlines" and "best and final" processes may be entirely manipulative tactics designed to extract more money from you under false pretenses. Proceed with caution.

They have been unfailingly friendly, helpful and understanding over the years and the different scenarios. We have now moved to our long-term "final" property in Poynton having become "empty nesters" and can look back and thank Richard for his efforts in constructing the "deal" that brought us to Poynton more than 25 years ago. Both with the swift resolution a couple of things I had contacted them about and with keeping the property up to date with being compliant with the safety regulations. They have been a pleasure to deal with, friendly professional and quick to respond. The contractors used by Rooftops have all been pleasant and professional and able to accommodate timing of visits to my requirements. I don't think I would have stayed as long in the property if the agents weren't as good to deal with as Angela and Karen have been.

It’s been a long and stressful journey with lost buyers, delays in the chain, lots of changes along the way. They were great from the very start, but in particular Helen, from the initial photos right through to completion, she’s been brilliant. I’ve made endless phone calls and sent her hundreds of emails, and she was always happy to help, always answered, and always got back to me quickly. Without her the whole process could have been unbelievably stressful. Her support made such a difference. Would 100% recommend Moore Homes to anyone thinking of moving.

The viewings were conducted quickly and professionally, and while, through no fault of Jacob knight, the process was long and drawn out (mortgage issues), Louis was always available immediately when we needed him, either by phone or email. We had heard of agents for other companies being very good for the viewing process and then dropping off a cliff when it came to the nitty gritty of actually getting the process finalised. certainly not the case with Jacob knight, they were brilliant, can highly recommend.
