19th Jan 2026 (8 mo. ago)Our experience was so bad, the chasing, empty promises that Patrick the owner made, complete lack of honesty and treatment was beyound appalling. Always an excuse.. I can't even put into words how let down and completely shocked we have been at the treatment from this man.

I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service

4th Aug 2026 (7 weeks ago)I can not praise the staff here highly enough. To start, handling the home of a recently deceased and much loved Mother must be tough. But, the careful balance of compassion, care, professionalism and then the business was navigated with incredible skill. The ease with which the house went on the market was amazing, the pictures, description, the overall presentation was so impressive I almost bought it myself.<br>More than that though, when all was concluded the aftercare and advice was so very much appreciated.<br>I will never be able to praise or thank the team enough.<br>A particular mention to Jack and Michaela, who had to endure more than they ever should.<br>Myself and Fudge (shshsh it’s a secret) thank you, from the pieces of my heart

My previous agent was helpful enough, but they simply couldn't find a buyer who was ready and able to proceed.<br><br>From the moment I switched to Bairstow Eves (Rayleigh), the difference was obvious. On day one, they arranged for a professional photographer to take photos and a video of my home — and they'd already lined up two viewings with interested buyers. Both wanted to buy the house! During the viewing, the agent built a genuine rapport with the buyers, really understanding what my property had to offer.<br><br>Even after accepting an offer, their care didn't stop. Bairstow Eves has continued to liaise with everyone involved, actively chasing the paperwork to keep the sale moving.<br><br>All in all, I've been delighted with their professional service — both before and after the sale. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
2nd Jul 2026 (11 weeks ago)The communication with Haart was good. The offer was less than I wanted though. Another agency also gave a higher valuation, the same as Haart did. However, I accepted the offer on Haart's recommendation, as the buyer is a first-time buyer with no chain and houses had gone down in price in the area.

29th Aug 2026 (22 days ago)I should have written this review a long time ago, but even to this day, thinking about the whole situation still makes me angry. I kept putting off writing this review, but I’ve decided it’s better to say something now than never. My experience with Hopson Property Southend was extremely disappointing. The service was poor, and the manager, Richard, was not helpful when it came to resolving our issue. There were no call-backs, no proper follow-ups, and we were constantly having to chase them for updates. What really frustrated me was how proactive they were when it came to demanding money, yet when it came to actually solving problems, there was very little urgency or cooperation. Despite making numerous attempts to get the matter resolved, nothing was properly sorted and we were ultimately left with no choice but to give up because they simply would not cooperate. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and the way the situation was handled has stayed with me to this day. I would not recommend them based on our experience. I would give it a negative star if there was an option.

22nd Aug 2025 (1 year ago)Poor surveying of completely straight boundaries by Guy Imray, no understanding of Land Registry plans due to no knowledge of encroachments. Viewed property then cuts off boundary wall completely (neighbours wall encroaches at front only)!

We have just handed our flat back after 4 years and from the first to the last interaction Vicky made things straightforward. The contractual process was easy and fair and any repair issues were always dealt with promptly. An easy recommendation.

31st Aug 2026 (20 days ago)Would appear the house was over valued by the estate agent so setting wrong expectations about what price could be achieved. Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.

10th Jun 2026 (15 weeks ago)We had previously used another supposedly successful/well known/etc. yawn…local agent and were underwhelmed by their lack of energy & interest in helping us sell our Thorpe Bay property. We approached Hendricks & got a very different and positive response. Hendricks are a relatively young but extremely switched-on outfit that knows it needs to perform in order to establish itself. We felt Hendricks listened to us describe our situation and stepped up to ensure an all-round improved customer experience. Brad was an incredible front man - highly responsive from start to finish. Alfie demonstrated real depth of understanding contractually and the combination of their team was highly supportive and led to a very fast offer-to-completion time of 9 weeks! In an industry renowned for its disproportionate share of empty promises we would recommend Hendricks unreservedly.
