22nd Oct 2026 (13 days ago)I have been using the BAIR STOW CHARFFORD HUNDRED OFFICE for years without any issues. In September I contacted them to help me find a tenant for a property in Charfford hundred. They found a tenant without any problems then I was waiting for them to pay me, after a week I phoned to ask if there was any money left from what the tenant had paid.<br><br>I was told they will send me an invoice. I was shocked but kept quiet. An invoice was sent to me for £306 . I had asked for FINDING THE TENANT SERVICE ONLY all together they had charged me over £1506. 00 and the rental income of my property is £1250.00<br>That was so much money for that service!. I had another vacant property I wanted the same service of FINDING TENANT ONLY, emailed then called the office and spoke to the OFFICE MANAGER REBECCA BROWN . She was the person I was in contact with and the person that sent me invoice. I asked how much they charge and she said a month’s rent. I went ahead and said it can’t be right as I had paid more than a month rent on a previous property they had help me with the EXACT SERVICE.<br>I sent her a screenshot of the payment and reassured me that she will chase it for me and made sure I get a refund. I didn’t hear anything for 5 workings days, I followed it up with emails and even called so many times and after 2 days I received an email from the REBECCA BROWN saying the accounts department has processed it and should get the money by this week. This morning I emailed to check of what is happening as I didn’t receive the refund.<br>After 10 workings days of chasing and NOT getting anywhere, emailing and calling only to the told the account department said there is no refund to be made because they couldn’t find the over payment I made.<br><br>I am displeased with this because this is a big agency and thought I couldn’t find trust them to do the right thing, the didn’t just over charge me but if I didn’t have another property and needed their services again I wouldn’t have known.<br><br>They would have happily out pocketed me £306.00 which is very wrong. I was told it was an auto invoice that was generated by their system. They didn’t even have the courteous of updating me what was happening.<br>I find that extremely unprofessional and I wouldn’t trust such a company/ organisation!

We have just sold our house via the Benfleet office.<br>We purchased this property via them 8 years ago and returned to sell it 8 years later.<br>Fantastic service from start to finish. From our initial meeting and valuation with Darren to exchange/completion stages with Stephanie everything was seamless.<br>Great communication throughout, never had a problem getting in contact, always answer your calls and always provided updates/regular feedback.<br>All staff were polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Very quick to arrange/confirm viewings and provide feedback. Anita, Denise and Alex always on hand.<br>Stephanie was great helping us to get to the exchange stage, helping chase solicitors and provide updates.<br>Thank you so much; such a lovely team
