15th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Carla Bentley was the team member who mainly liased with us during our recent house sale. She was extremely professional and very thoughtful throughout the whole process. We also had dealings with Richard Marris who had a great approach and was extremely professional. Other members of the team who we spoke to on the phone were always very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Overall, a very good experience during one of life's stressful times.

8th Apr 2024 (10 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

We originally found our first home through Mathers 5 years ago, and we had no doubt about going back to them. Trafford kept us up to date at all times, and we really appreciate his hard work. If we are looking to sell in the future, we will definitely get back in touch!

12th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Admittedly it’s been 18 months since I dealt with Carl at Sbc ,he has a lazy attitude not interested happy to charge me £600 for an advert and rubbish online photos and then pretty much did nothing to try and sell my business I did all the work and still never sold it or got a result waste of money waste of time , like I said it’s been 18 months but I feel I’m still entitled to leave a review. I would never ever recommend them ever to any Buisness , at that time I had an apology email from Carl but I’m sorry it wasn’t enough, my Buisness went stagment online and I lost a fortune , £600 down the drain , take your money then they run .

3rd Jan 2022 (2 years ago)I have only very good things to say about this lovely company. If you are looking for a property to rent then I highly recommend Smith & Co. There's a lot of bad landlords out there but in my experience of renting a property from Smith & Co for many, many years now, I can truly say that you wouldn't go far wrong to rent from this caring, compassionate, understanding, professional and considerate company! I have had many wonderful, trouble free years' renting from Smith & Co. To be honest, I really wouldn't want to rent from anyone else now. Sara and her team are all so lovely! After many years I feel like I'm part of one big Smith & Co family! Top notch!

Nothing was too much trouble, going above and beyond on numerous occasions to get the job done. 12th Aug 2023 (8 mo. ago)Cross Estates were absolutely AMAZING in all aspects of my sale and purchase. This was the 4th time I have been through the process of buying a house and the 3rd time I've sold one so I feel I have a good measure to compare against. Cross estates were a completely different, totally positive experience. The whole team were helpful, available and knowledgable at every stage. Firstly the team helped me find and secure a house in a notoriously difficult area to buy. Then they helped me put my house on the market - which was marketed superbly and got a full price offer on the first viewing. They stayed in touch throughout the whole process and spoke to me whenever I contacted them. With their incredible help, the process from thinking 'I think I might move', to finding a house, selling my house and moving in took no longer than 8 weeks. All my previous house buying experiences have taken months and been incredibly stressful. I can honestly say that nothing was stressful about this move. I kept waiting for things to go wrong but they never did and that is because Steve, Allen, Ashleigh and Jenny were all over it. Always calm and always staying in touch with the other parties in the chain and solicitors. I can not rate them or recommend them more highly. They made every step of moving into our new home an absolute joy.

Sharon sent technician quickly to fix our heating when it went off and followed up to make sure it was working over the weekend. Thank you very much to your team and to our Landlord! Suzanne is charming, efficient, patient, kind, helpful and right on the button with sorting any hitches or problems. She is a force to be reckoned with. Nothing is too much trouble and she always got back to me if I left a message. Buying and selling houses is not the most enjoyable experience but this lady really smooths the way and quietly gets things done. Very different from the usual Estate Agent experience- I think they had better take a note or she’ll sweep the board! Thank you so much Suzanne.
